I am here.
I am "born again" :-)
On topic for the subject of whether to eat carbs:
My Lord and Savior teaches that we should eat our carbs with fish by
His example of feeding 5000 people with five small loaves of bread and
two small fish.
It is written in Ephesians 2:
10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good
works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
All is a waste of time until you find the way to eternal life with the
Creator of the universe. When you do, there is no waste of time
because there will be an infinite amount of it. Walking about
aimlessly thinking it is *your* time, *your* money, *your* lot, *your*
labor, *your* profit, and *your* power that you are using is
tantamount to self-worship.
For Christ lights up the way through John 14:
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through me..."
This bring us back again to the following very simple decision tree
for the untruthful folks such as yourself, Jim, who have chosen to
walk in the "dark":
(1) Accept Christ.
Risk: Nothing.
Benefits: Salvation, purposeful life, eternal life, unimaginable
riches in God's eternal kingdom.
(2) Reject Christ.
Risk: Eternal separation from God. Eternal torment of your soul by
satan.
Benefits: Nothing.
Again, one has to conclude that those (ie you, Carey, Steve, Bob, Zee,
Frank, Hawki, Rolando, Don et al) who would reject Christ have not
thought out their decision *logically*.
Would suggest you cast a glance at Bob Pastorio as a special example
of untruthfully eloquent self-worship (BTW, Bob remains in my prayers
out of Christian love) who is being driven to madness by my ignoring
him (http://makeashorterlink.com/?V29A236C9 and more recently
http://makeashorterlink.com/?K50B237D9). All this power belongs to
God who has judged Bob Pastorio with His Word
(http://makeashorterlink.com/?G33F51E69). All praises to Him, Whom I
love with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength :-)
You will be in my prayers, dear Jim whom I love, in Christ's holy
name.
May you accept Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, someday, so
that you too will escape satan's rule and torment of your soul after
you die.
Please do consider the following as your logic should dictate before
it is too late:

They came in all sizes and shapes.
All ate their fill that day. They could have eatened until they
exploded but they did not because God was with them. Each day He gives
us bread. When we get fat, it is because we eat too much of it out of
fear that He will stop feeding us. We simply need to remember that He
keeps telling us that He will not stop giving us our daily bread.

Nonsense. I have never overeaten out of fear God would not give me

It's a claim. Look up claim. Whether an observation is a claim doesn't
depend on who you are walking with. Nor does it depend on whether your
observation is true or false. You claimed Jesus was teaching proper
diet to the people to whom he provided food. He wasn't teaching them
about proper diet. He was feeding them food they were all accustomed
to eating. Bread and fish were staples of the diet.
Also, for your claim to be true, you would have to also mean he
intended that the people should *not* eat fruit and vegetables, since
he didn't provide any. Since he would have been wrong, you would be
claiming Jesus' teaching was wrong.
You can squirm all you want. I note that you were squirming in a
similar way last time I corresponded with you months ago. You seem to
paint yourself into these corners every time you open your mouth. Ask
Jesus for help. This how you should pray: Dear Jesus, please help me
to do no harm.
That certainly is what you wrote. The word "because" means God caused
them not to overeat. ie God prevented them from overeating. That leads
to the inevitable conclusion that a person who overeats is either not
with God, or God's being with them doesn't make any difference with
respect to overeating. Either way, your conclusion that God is what
prevents overeating is silly.
That's a wonderful attitude, but I don't see how it applies, since I
didn't judge anyone but you, and my judgement was not about your
overeating but about your spouting gibberish.
Yes, you have. You plainly wrote gibberish.
Why would you think I like cookies more than I like my life? Nor am I
overweight. I sometimes overeat because I like the food I'm eating. If
I gain weight over my ideal, I lose it again.
Actually, like everyone else (except you, of course), my life is shit.
I never ate a cookie I didn't like.
But a great many didn't, and they were God's people.

A good prayer for us all I think Martin as we can all think and
express ourselves in harmful ways at times. We _all_ fall short of
God's greater glory.
No, with God all things are put aside for Him, including an empty
stomach. Sadly we are all human's, it is our nature to be sinners. So
we return to moments when we need prayer to bring Him close to us
again and we need His Word to fill us. You cannot be overfed on God's
Word, even when it is offered through His disciples or the ministers
they have fished for, all will be with His Holy Spirit.
I like cookies too. Over eating is our collective sin, and it's
something we sin at very well too! Why attack those who look for ways
to deal with its outcome?
We give food out of love, we eat it out of love, so why not talk about
it in a loving way with each other?
In Christ's love
