- Consumer Reports agrees with Steve Bayt:"Atkins Death Sentence"

This week's attempt to save millions more people who will die on
Atkins Low Carb
Death Sentence isn't done. But, here is a sneak preview quote of
Consumer Report June 2002 page 30. I have claimed Atkins will create a
Atkins Related Death Syndrome (ARDS) which will make AIDS seem like a
warm-up act to ARDS.
Here are direct quotes from Consumer Reports view of Atkins.
" For nearly 30 years, the nutrition establishment has denounced the
diet promolgated by Robert C. Atkins for its unsound hig-fat,
ultra-low carbohydrate regimen.
As recently as last year a expert panel of nutritionist convened by
The American Heart Association condemned it as ineffective and very
possibly a healh hazard."
yada yada yada....
Page 31
"We don't thinkit should be your first choice as a reducing diet.
Unless further studies establish its long-term safety, we can't
endorse staying on the Atkins diet."
For an explanation on the value of Carbohydrates. Go to a library and
ask a Librarian for THE COMPLETE IDIOTS GUIDE TO TOTAL NUTRITION by
Joy Bauer MS. RD copyright 1999 Published by McMillian General
Reference, A Pearson Education Company.
A trip to the library, preferably by walking to burn off Atkins fat
then focusing on Chapter 2 will save the life of anyone who follows
the Atkins Death Sentence then saves their life going to a healthy
lifestyle.
Anyone on Atkins who would like to not die any time soon should call
THE NATIONAL WEIGHT CONTROL REGISTRY at 1-800-606-6927 (operational as
of the 1999 copyright) or possibly go to
www.uc.hsc.edu/nutrition/ncwr.htm
And of course there is atkinsalert.org, or your local hospital which
is where CONSUMER REPORTS(page 26)claims 37% of it's study patients
recieved the best long-term health improvements, of which 79% went on
a low fat diet.
THis isn't technically my article for the week. But, every day I post
something is hopefully another day I help save hundreds maybe
thousands of lives who otherwise would die due to Atkins Low Carb
Death Style.
My next original article should be ready by the usual Sunday evening
posting before CBS's "Cold Case". If for some reason my store doesn't
have any carbohydrate foods anymore and I can't live let alone compose
an article, then I don't apologize.
Because Love Means Never Having To Say. You're Sorry.

P.S. KATHRYN MORRIS FOR AN EMMY
NO MORE ATKINS
WOULDN'T THAT BE A GREAT CLOSED CASE.

What a crock of shit. It will kill you but we are not sure, it may be OK
but, then we may change our mind, maybe, or just perhaps?

staying on the Atkins diet."

Except that their most recent article (on the abuse of the term "low

against Atkins.

These are my opinions only, but they're almost always correct.

And the *only* quote involving Atkins from Consumer Reports' June 2002,
article "The Truth About Dieting" is, "Nonetheless, our dieters said
they found several authors helpful in losing and keeping off weight.
Among them were Bill Phillips ("Body for Life"); Robert C. Atkins, M.D.
("Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution"); and H. Leighton Steward
("SugarBusters!"). Although we have not evaluated the authors' diets, we
know they all advocate protein as a mainstay of low-glycemic weight-loss
plans."
The number 1 suggestion in this article is "tame your blood sugar".
Included in that paragraph, "After four months, children on the
low-glycemic diet had lost an average of 4.5 pounds, while the kids on
the low-fat diet had gained 2.9 pounds."
And "yada" has two d's.

No, you are incorrect. According to Miriam-Webster's online dictiionary, he
spelled the phrase "yada yada" correctly.
