Yep, its really easy. Under the hood, locate the battery. Now in between the battery and the side firewall you will find a grey electrical connector. Its attachted to the firewall. Simply disconnect it. Thats it. I went to the magical nights of lights here in Atlanta last night, and finally didn't have to have everyone flashing theyre lights at me to get me to turn mine off. Ron, My son has a truck just like the one you are looking at. The fan clutch shaft is pink as you have noticed. My guess is the color is how they identify them during assembly. As I said, if it's the A340 series tranny then it's a piece of junk. Maybe the A440 is a bit better I don't know. I've had good luck with Ford powertrains. Bulletproof almost.
