No more Driving Lights
Posted on 12-22-2007 | 7 Comments

Yep, its really easy. Under the hood, locate the battery. Now in between the battery and the side firewall you will find a grey electrical connector. Its attachted to the firewall. Simply disconnect it. Thats it. I went to the magical nights of lights here in Atlanta last night, and finally didn't have to have everyone flashing theyre lights at me to get me to turn mine off. It was wonderful. Jack

Suggest you drive one with and one without the TRD Off-Road suspension. I made a similar upgrade, and am 100% pleased with the difference. But I also went from a reg cab to a double cab, so it's a bit longer.

It is a real bear to do. But can be done with just hand tools. be sure you position the filter properly and use all the sealing washers. Scott -- Message posted using http://www.talkaboutautos.com/group/alt.autos.toyota.trucks/ More information at http://www.talkaboutautos.com/faq.html

A Pink Engine Part?

Ron, My son has a truck just like the one you are looking at. The fan clutch shaft is pink as you have noticed. My guess is the color is how they identify them during assembly. That's kind of like taking a sick kid to the doctor, but not asking what the kid is sick of. Your truck is ill, and you get the equivelent of, "take two Coronas, and call me in the morning." Coronas might fix what ails you, but I think you really need to know what ails the truck.

As I said, if it's the A340 series tranny then it's a piece of junk. Maybe the A440 is a bit better I don't know. I've had good luck with Ford powertrains. Bulletproof almost. Older GMs weren't so hot and I wouldn't drive past a GM lot for a long time. Except now they have this great turnaround that really had me impressed. Yeah I know, Toyota powertrains are kinda flimsy in comparison. The new Tundra's crankshaft breaks! They don't list on their site, but check with Jasper to see if they

Google online for a Toyota VIP system (made by Fujitsu-Ten). Fujitsu- Ten is not much of an OEM audio equipment company, but their alarm is not bad. Should also be cheep enough. You should be able to find their fax back number on the net. So you get to read through all the instructions on how to install if needed. On Dec 10, 1:30 pm, "Joe" <guic...@yahoo.com> wrote:

One cylinder head to original spec would be fine. Just don't put a tuner modified on one bank and OEM on the other. The ECU can go schizophrenic. Use Fel-Pro Multi-Layer Steel head gasket if available and make sure the cooling system is up to par. At least the rad cap should be one with a spring-loaded vacuum return valve (like a Stant cap instead of a Denso). On Dec 10, 10:05 am, "WormSign" <worms...@doon.com> wrote:

2008 PreRunner break-in speeds
Posted on 12-11-2007 | 5 Comments

Check your manual to see what the max break-in speed for the 08 is. The important thing as others said is to VARY THE SPEED OFTEN while staying below the limit. Some engines use 55 mph as the max, some 65 and some Europeans use 100 mph or none at all. On Dec 5, 7:18 am, "R/C Foster" <fos-...@pacbell.net> wrote:
