TSB-0068-08 5/21/08 For 2007 Camry Shifting

TSB-0068-08 5/21/08 ECM Calibration:Enhancement to Shifting
Performance, Smoothness.

Anybody has this TSB for the Camry? I've had 2 TSB's so far (1st in
2006, 2nd in 2007) and not including this third TSB. My Camry just
went over the 30,0000 mile warranty. Can I still get this? Since I
still have problems with the car. I haven't tried talking with the
dealer yet.

I haven't seen the TSB, but your powertrain warranty is longer than 30,000
miles so bring it in!

Hi Ray O, I just want to know if its just an ECU reprogram or a part
change. I've already had 2 ECU reprograms and none worked out. I just
dont know how Toyota can manage to make a drastic change in my car
with just an ECU reprogram.. again.

The U-series transmissions since 2002 have been having shift problems
of one form or another. The worst being the U-series started in 2007
Camry V6 and Lexus in that they occasionally skip gears altogether.

I think the problem is in poor transmission design, otherwise it would
have been solved years ago already through numerous reprogrammings.
That said the newest update should help "mitigate" the hardware
problem somewhat and make it less apparent.

I'd say go for the powertrain warranty update before it expires.

I haven't seen the TSB so I do not know if it is an ECU flash or a new part.
