This wasn't anything that I have experienced. What a bummer, what I experience is the car seems to go into neutral or stay in the higher gear instead of downshifting when I slow down and about to accelerate. This might be the learning of the logic or its just supposed to be like that. I just don't seem to get the power when I want it sometimes, maybe it was still in the economy mode and I'm already think go fast! haha. On Dec 11, 6:03 pm, johngd...@hotmail.com wrote:

Just found the following post on Edmunds Town Talk from one owner two days ago, you can read the whole message there: ============================== #2604 of 2610 XLE V6 - Two botched repair jobs by toyotacarfan Dec 09, 2006 (3:07 pm) I am having a heck of a time getting satisfaction from Toyota and my 3-month old loaded $30K Camry XLE V6. Immediately after I bought it, it had the 3rd-4th gear shift flare when cold, which progressively got

Thanks for the link. The original post was only asking if the dealer is willing to do free inspection? And this expires on Dec 30, 2006. I suggest you bring your car to the nearest dealer and show them your letter and insist that you are not willing to pay for this inspection and necessary repair. By the way, is it clear to what is the action needed? change to a different oil grade or engine part replacement?

Drive shaft problem on '88 4-cyl.
Posted on 12-11-2006 | 7 Comments

Most CV axles come with all joints and boots as a complete shaft ready to install. If in doubt, call the vendors sales line. Rockauto used to sell new (not rebuilt) axles that were under $80, a good deal! They might still have this. Their shipping rates can add up IF you buy items from multiple manufactures. This is because the items are dropped shipped from the manufacturer. CY joint replacement is a common topic at TN, a thread history search will find lots of hits this subject. If the...

1995 Camry V6 Throttle Opener

You don't have to reset anything if you pull the IAC valve, it's independent of TPS and throttle opener. The notorious IAC valve, if need to be cleaned do not have to be replaced each time. Daniel uses Triflow spray after cleaning to keep it working, do a search on the post. You will have to pull the throttle body to be able to work on the IAC more easily. Just don't spray throttle body cleaner into TPS or into the IAC's electrical side. Most cleaners attack rubbers and might cause

1996 Camry V6 - High Idle when cold

If idle wasn't messed with you may have a vacuum leak. Also check the idle air control (IAC) valve. Most are stuck for low rpm but some maybe for high rpm. Steve Murphree wrote:

You are showing the pictures of the instrument panel fuse block that's near the steering column. That's too high and to much to the right. You need to look lower and to the left, which is just about where your left foot would normally rest, and it'll be in the area to the left of your left foot. Lyle wrote:

'91 Camry - Door Locks Pop Up
Posted on 12-09-2006 | 3 Comments

Daniel wrote: I bought a used '95 in '96 and it was fine. The dealer whined a lot because my trade-in had no value and I didn't finance the car purchase. So he wouldn't make any extra money on the car. Within a year, my door locks started having a mind of their own. Clack, clack clack, clack.... So I forked over $142 to get the locks fixed. But they told me there water was entering at the top of the wind shield and running down to the driver's side kick panel near the fuses. They

2004 Camry Driver Seat
Posted on 12-09-2006 | 3 Comments

The earlier generation of Camrys had a similar problem and I think there was either a TSB or a recall because depending how far it suddenly tilts/slides it can cause the driver to loose control. Forget talking to the dealer at this point, they are stonewalling you. Talk to Toyota directly at the customer service number in the warranty manual. You should try to get this fixed before the warranty expires because after that they won't even talk to you without handing over money first.

Over drive needs 110f for it to shift , but normal maintenance is having a pro drop the trans pan, clean magnets, change trans oil, filter and new oil, at required intervals. I will bet 1000000$ you aint dont whats recommended, so you now ask a stupid question, of why its broke.
