Maybe the contacts are too dirty. Are the contacts hard to find and clean? Is there a place to blow compessed air into? Checked price from dealer. Throttle Position Sensor is about $64. This does not include installation.

Someone posted on this group a while back, that they had stripped their armrest to re-cover it , to find it was textured plastic underneath. Seems like they said it was very nice looking, and needed no further attention.

Your Perception of Camry Quality 1993-Present?

I'm with Art -- save your money. 68k miles in 12 years is low. Since you don't drive much I don't see the need in buying new, especially since you've had no problems.

How long do 1MZ-FE V6 Camry's Last?
Posted on 05-10-2005 | 2 Comments

65,000 miles isn't a lot. I'm guessing that, since you've racked up that much mileage in only 3 years, they're mostly highway miles. Highway miles aren't as hard on the motor as city miles. Proper maintenance is key. I've seen Camry's go over 200,000 miles. My '93 -- a 3VZ-FE, not a 1MZ-FE -- has 135,000 miles on it, a fairly even mix of city and highway.

If your PS was applying more effort (thru its hydraulics) to one side relative to the other,..then you would see this effect demonstrated by raising the front wheels off the ground,..start the engine and slowly move the steering from one lock to the other. If there is an unatural bias,.your wheels should move by themselves to the side which the...

Alternately, you could go with a decent aftermarket light that will bolt on. I usually put them in the slots under the bumper; some cutting of the bumper cover may be required. I have done this with a '95 Tercel and an '85 Celica I have; they look close to factory and are MUCH cheaper ($49

Does the other keyless entry fob work? If so you probably have to reprogram the fob you changed the battery in. There is a TSB available from the dealer on how to do it --- or you can pay them to do it. Instruction might be available on line - try Google -- but there are several different versions so one from a different model/year may/may not work. The following is for the factory Fujitsu 10 VIP alarm --- not the Audiovox Securikey+. All doors unlocked, drivers door open
