"Philip ®" <1chip-state1@earthlink.net.invalid>, being of unsound mind, did utter in news:UsYqb.1906$nz.1096@newsread2.news.pas.earthlink.net: They sell it here too, overpriced compared to grocery store de-ionized or distilled. The local hardware store sells the water as low as $3 for 5 gallons ($10 deposit on the bottle). I use tap water to flush out the old coolant. Then I let that drain out.

I did the same except tranny oil change once a year (i.e. ~40,000km). Every 5k km tranny oil change is way too much. "Ron Miska" <r-miska@raytheon.com> ???????:3FABDE75.89C0D837@raytheon.com...

"Douger" <douger@swissmail.net> wrote in message news:8e1bbb95.0311071418.12adf84b@posting.google.com... Well, my opinion is by no means professional, I figure I'll offer it. The O2 sensor failing is most likely the culprit for the excessively rich air/fuel mix. This, as you may know, is the reason you failed the HC (Hydrocarbon) test. Catalytic converters convert spent hydrocarbons into carbon dioxide. They get REALLY hot when they're forced to convert more hydrocarbons than normal, thus...

I tried the first suggestion and pumped the gas three times and it starts first time. If i dont pump it takes a couple of turns of the ignition switch to start. It is fuel injected. You would think with a electric fuel pump that the fuel pressure would be there. thanks "Newintowntoo" <someone@somewhere> wrote in message news:vqn8hu5fh28cbc@corp.supernews.com...

No - pictures are not allowed (ok deeply frowned upon). Go to ebay or dealer and get the owners manual. Appears one of your rear light bulbs are burned out --- check the third brake light too.

Hi Steve, I probably last took the air cleaner off and cleaned everything underneath with carb cleaner a year ago. Sounds like it's time to do this again. Interestingly, the car did fine today-- did its usual 3000 rpm fast idle when cold (colder today than past days). To clarify, it's about 3000 rpm in Park when I first start in on a cold day. In Drive, it probably maxes out at around 1500 rpm when cold. Actually, I'm not sure about this, as I remember that the car'll go up to 20 mph in

I stripped the holes in one of my drums ('90 Corolla) by reusing the cheap bolts that I had damaged taking off the other side. It took about three hours of coaxing with rubber mallet/big screwdrivers/pry bar etc. I could only get it off a few fractions of an inch at a time, then it would stop fast. Finally, when I had just about given up, I noticed that the 'sticking point' was the center hub. I squirted some penetrating oil there and took a strip of sandpaper to it, in order to clean up...
