1) got two different shipments/items from North Beach Leather before they
finally run out of my size
.... black leather mini skirt that fits beautifully and looks WAY better than
my bcbg max azria one
also from the spring ezza catalog.... fawn suede chanel type jacket with
sequined trim. It has mandarin collar and hook/eye closures up and down the
front.... it's a stiffer suede to be able to hold the shape of this styling.
But it's really interesting
2) old navy white jeans (thanks to the 2 that recommended these) that were
on sale on ON.com for 10 each. I ordered two sizes and went with the smaller
of the two. perfect fit... they QC must be MUCH better these days

They are long straight pieces of fabric with strips of fabric you can velcro

wonderful!

I bought 2 pairs of Donald Pliner shoes today.
One is a pair of black loafers with a chunky wedge heel. Classic, comfy
Pliner shoes.
The other is a very funky pair of deep brown cowboy-ish boots with big
red "jewels" on the back of the heel.

Combed many 33-75% off racks w/o finding anything. DH was incredibly
patient the entire afternoon. I ended up only buying a pair of dark brown
leather dress sandals from Banana Republic. There are 2 thin straps of
braided leather criss-crossing the toes, and there are long thin leather
straps that wrap around the ankle. The heel -- 3" -- is a bit higher than I
normally wear, but DH liked them (I trust his tastes). I've always wanted a
pair of sandals that wrap around the calf, and for only $30, I won't feel
guilty about not wearing them frequently. It was the very last pair, so I
figured that it was fate!

I think I live vicariously through a lot of your purchases, Stevie.
I've bought a couple pairs of boots with high (for me--2.5") heels. And I
ebayed a couple of NWT linen Flax/Engelhart dresses, one of which I will use
as a bathrobe. (They make outstanding bathrobes! I always take one of
their lightweight "dusters" when I travel; it does double duty as bathrobe
and beach coverup.)
Last fall, I had a cast on one leg and wore only the safest shoes on the
other foot. And I didn't want to damage my leather and other good jackets
with the crutches, so I basically never wore my favorite clothes all fall.
Now it's like rediscovering old friends.

Yesterday afternoon I met Jeanne at Neiman Marcus. I bought YSL's Paris eau
de toilette spray and an Escada men's spray for my husband. I chose the brown
corduroy bag with all the goodies, they were out of the red one. We stopped at
several counters and also checked out shoes. Apparently there will be another
makeup event at NM in October.
We moved onto Dillards and stopped at the Guerlain counter which had two SAs
with no customers. After getting a dusting of the Guerlain Meteorites powder
for the face I decided to buy that along with the matching brush. (Jeanne
persuaded me, LOL). We both received samples of the Issima skin care and eye
care line.
Onto to Houston's Restaurant for an early dinner and to beat the nightly
crowd that arrive around 5:30.
Home then to watch the Emmys.
Had an enjoyable afternoon with Jeanne, as usual. She was a good sport as I
made her look at all my vacation pictures. She looks great! I want her hair,
LOL.
