OK, so I have Idealist and love it. I tried to use the Origins product
that was supposed to be similar, but just didn't get as good results and
returned to Idealist. Now I'm on my 3rd or 4th bottle.
I recently picked up some of the Idealist Micro-D. I really like that
too! It heats up on its own and really left my face smooth (as in I kept
touching it all day to admire it <G>).
Now I'm dying to try the Perfectionist. Has anyone tried that and does
it work as well as the other products?
Man, it's hard to afford all of this stuff at $40-50/bottle! I wish
cosmetic companies would consider selling smaller (and less expensive)
products. It would be easier to buy a half size each of the
Perfectionist and Idealist every few months. Maybe I'll suggest that
(like that'd do any good...).
Oh, and I did try the new Ideal Matte. Well, I tried it on my hand. The
saleslady warned me that since I normally use Futurist, I probably
wouldn't be happy with the coverage of IM. She was right. I soooo wanted
to like it, because it felt so good, but it disappeared right into my
hand and I knew it would never be enough coverage for my blotchy skin
<sigh>.

Lee, if you have a Cosmetics Company store near you they do have the Idealist
for a bit less than the department stores. Probably the Perfectionist also
although I've only purchased the Idealist.

I know what you mean. I use "Countess Isserlyn Liquid Makeup" and although
it is $50 a bottle, it lasts forever. It takes me about three years to go
through a 1 oz bottle. I don't know if they're still doing this, but
http://www.your-cosmetics.com was giving out free samples. You might want
to check it out.
Sigh, I know what you mean. I still haven't found the perfect foundation,
but "Countess Isserlyn Liquid Makeup" is pretty close to it and it feels so
smooth. Their lipstick is really nice too.

Hi Lee,
I use EL products and have the perfectionist. I'm not really
impressed. It gives you the same velvety-soft feeling that they
Idealist does, but it didn't do a thing for "perfecting" the fine
lines around my eyes. But then again, what does? I'd not buy it
again. I will, however, buy the Idealist again, although I may try
the Olay Regenerist first just because it's so much cheaper. Or
someone else mentioned a product from BBW that was supposed to compare
at only $15.
Hope this helps,
Linda

Thanks for the input on the Perfectionist. The local Lord & Taylor is
having a GWP that includes it, so I may just go ahead and buy an extra
foundation to get that to try. Do you think they'd notice if I
periodically "topped" it off at the display <G>?
Let me know how the Olay or BBW products work. I tried the Origins
equivalent, figuring that maybe it was even the same thing, being owned
by the same parent company. It was a nice product and gave that silky
feeling after use, but over time I realized that it didn't maintain the
better skin condition (feeling/texture/appearance) that I'd started to
develop with the Idealist. So I went back to the Idealist. I never
thought I'd actually spend that much $ on skin care! I'd love to find
something that does as good a job but doesn't cost as much.

I bought the Olay regenerist serum last night and tried it this
morning. My skin feels incredibly silky and smooth. I don't know if
I ever noticed a difference in the appearance over time with the
Idealist...i.e. the difference I noticed upon first use seemed to be
consistent with every use...does that make sense? Anyway, I'll let
you know if it seems to continue to compare with the Idealist for me.
If you google "regenerist" you'll see a lot of satisfied customers
here, although I'm not sure how many of them had used Idealist as
well.
As for topping off the Perfectionist, go for it! I'd be intersted to
know what you think of it.

i used to be an idealist fan; now i'm a regenerist fan. if regenerist were just
as good, i'd be happy with the price difference, but the regenerist is more
effective for me.
