- What *nail polish* are you wearing?
- Posted by the Wicked Witch
I can't find the nail thread, so I'm starting it over:
Fingers: One coat Nail Envy[1] followed by one coat of Seche Rose,
topped with Seche Vite of course. Seche Rose looks a lot like one coat
of OPI Bubble Bath, or Essie Sheer Bliss. Quite similar, just a pretty,
sheer pale pink. This look is much better for me than an actual French
Manicure which just looks funny (not in a good way) on my hands.
Toes: Red! Two coats of China Glaze Massai Red, with one coat of China
Glaze Ruby Slipper (sheer red with red glitter). One of my favorite red
combos! Of course it's also topped with Seche Vite.
[1]Sensitive/Peeling formula, which I've been wearing cause my regular
beauty place hasn't had the Original formula for weeks; annoying, but I
have to say I'm really liking this formula, and might keep buying it
even if/when the Original formula reappears. My nails didn't peel much
with the regular NE, but I think since I've been using the new one, they
have not peeled *at all*. Good stuff!

1 clear coat on fingers; deep red professionally polished toes.
(Gonna go for a pale pink next time, even if it is fall.) Color on
the fingers is entirely too high maintenance for me.

On my toes, I'm wearing a beautiful sparkley red by Maybelline called
Sizzling Red. It looks fabulous with my black strappy sandles. On my
fingers, I decided to be a little more girly than usual and go with
Elizabeth Arden's Sparkle Pink. It's SO cute! I just love this color! I
don't wear it as often as I should. I just felt like wearing something a
bit more sheer, I guess.

I'll play! (Hello Alt.fashion!! It's been a long time... )
Inside of one week I've had Two Beauty Procedures (*extremely* unusual for
me):
A Manicure and Pedicure, both done by pros. The pros in this salon use OPI
polish, so at this moment I'm wearing on my toes, a French pedicure of OPI
Blonde Date (gold) base color and Redy for Anything (?sp?, it's a shimmer
red) tip color; it's fun!
On fingertips, a regular manicure of Road something Rose--sorry, I can't
remember the name.
I enjoyed it, they used OPI base and top coats but she cut my cuticles on
the manicure and that I did NOT enjoy. Is this normal? I've never done
it....

Toes are wearing Stila Freya again, as of a few minutes ago. I feel in love with
this for summer - just a barely-there pale shimmer that looks great with white
sandals (which I am still wearing, Labor Day be damned!) and makes my feet look
really tan. This will probably be my last pale pedicure of the season, though.
OPI Vampire State Building is calling my name, and it's about time to switch
back to deep blood reds for fall.
Fingers are bare, but tomorrow I'll do them in something pale and
shimmery/sparkly as well. Probably either Stila Freya, Essie Flower Girl or
L'Oreal Sugar Fizz.

Fingers are my usual OPI Dulche De Leche, and toes are some kind of Candy
Pink that was professionally done, and I didn't notice the brand or name.

I just bought OPI's God save the queens nails and Bare it in Trafalgar
square
and will have them put on when I have my mani/pedi on Monday.
I'm bare at the moment as I felt they needed a couple of days rest.

OPI Chocolate Shakespeare . I am seriously loving this color and just may
have to go out and buy it!
Seche Vite as a top coat.

Not more than 5 mins before I read melizabeth's post about sheer washes
taking the place of french, I finished the Seche Vite topcoat over Essie
Prima Ballerina, a pinkish sheer wash.
Toes still have OPI color of unknown name, a deepish but slightly bright
magenta.
