Okay, after about a month with no polish, my nails seem to have recovered and stopped splitting. I'm thinking I'll head out for a much-needed manicure and pedicure. But I'd like to know, if anyone has any idea -- I was using one of those sponges-in-a-jar-with-a-hole-in-it to remove polish. Is this harder on nails than simply using polish remover on cotton? If I just get a bottle of non-acetone remover and some cotton, am I likely to damage my nails less? I miss wearing polish, but...
