I saw the Nude on Nude eyeshadow colors and they look too much like what I
already have. It's boring. I'm looking for something more dramatic.

For me, I prefer a dramatic look for evening and a 'Naked' look for
day. I knew I had pulled the 'Naked' look off one day when a woman
complimented me on my skin, then expressed surprise when I told her I
was wearing makeup. Even though I had spent a good 20 minutes applying
the makeup, the overall look was a very natural "my face but better."

Having said that, I agree that the 'Nude on Nude' colors are very
muted and, for some, repetitiously boring, but that color selection
would be a good starting point for me since I don't normally wear
eyeshadow. But I probably won't buy the BB eyeshadows because they
tend to look flat on me. I want the same colors, but by a brand that
makes shadows with more "pop".

I've been following the "What's your fave e/s brand...?" thread for
alternatives; Revlon and MAC are definite frontrunners.

I'm still a big fan of the Revlon quad in Sandstorm. Not exactly "nude" but
still in that color family, plus these shadows have incredible texture, very
Stila-like in their blendability. Look great wet or dry. Super, super, super
stuff, probably Revlon's best ever, IMHO.

After your excellent rec, I went to the Revlon site to take a look.
Somehow, there are two different quads labelled "Sandstorm"?!?
Anyhoo, I'll go and take a look at Revlon tomorrow to see what will
work for me.

I have so many of these neutral colors and although the thought of the
palette is tempting, I just have to pass on it. this is how I end up with a
bunch of lipsticks in the same medium range and neutral eyeshadows.
