- Leave the house without make-up?
- Posted by FndThCure
I totally agree, no matter what the weather I can always rely on my Delux
Norris lipgloss & my sunglasses.

My barest minimum is to leave the house with OoO Complete Radiance powder
foundation, lip balm and sun glasses. I can get by with this to walk the dog,
run out for a quick errand, etc.

My levels of makeup, starting at the lowest level:
1. moisturizer topped by sunscreen.
2. lip color.
3. foundation and powder.
4. eyeshadow & perfume.
Monday through Friday is level 1. Weekends are up to level 3. Nights out
are level 4.

It's not stupid especially if you're a good looking person and suddenly you
feel you look bad
the lack of confidence destroys your animation
If that's the case someone suggested sunglasses but then people think
someone gave you a black eye
Have a good wash, put on a daytime moisturizer then mascara
touch up the brows
you could put on lipstick
but if you have nice eyes one flash with the mascara and everything else
becomes a blur

She arrived in London
and for a brief moment
caught me with those big dark wonderful eyes
and burnt my silhouette
in the brick bulding I was standing in front of

You should always wear sunglasses to protect your eyes (eyesight) and to
keep yourself from squinting, which causes wrinkles. It's not smart to go
without them.

Sure, if I'm heading to the gym (like this morning). I need to wear my
sunglasses more because I have been squinting alot and I would like to
minimize wrinklage.

My minimal face is (depending on how much time I have, and whether I'd see
anyone):
1) moisturizer and eye cream(topped by sunscreen if I knew I'd be out)
2) eye brows filled in and a sheer gloss
3) undereye concealer
4) 1 eye shadow with a little liner
5) sheer blush

Actually that's a good point and I usually don't
that is
If I ever go out in the day, but probably not in the morning to buy a paper
However, I HAVE been thinking about wearing a pair to do work on the
computer!
In fact I'm going to try it
Wow
I can almost see . . . without reading glasses!

i think most of us have a day like that from time to time. i go out anyway,
figuring there will always be someone more bedraggled than i am at any given
moment and that others aren't really looking at me anyway. it's harder to get
past this when you're off to meet people you know! i admit to feeling
absolutely hideous the very week all the afers were in town (remnants of a
skincream-induced breakout, unwashable post-highlights hair, an inexplicable
5-lb weight gain, all of which are no longer my 'problems'), but i sucked it up
anyway for the greater good.

Thirding this, I have never gotten an "are you okay?" question when I
have left the house w/o makeup unless I really *wasn't* feeling well
in addition to not having on makeup. I have somewhat fair skin, not
the palest shade by any means, but comparatively dark brown hair,
brows and lashes. And when I go red w/ my haircolor, it's an auburn.
I've tried the occasional highlights or lighter haircolor and hate how
I look w/o the contrast between hair color and skintone, perhaps
because the skin/hair contrast makes me look healthier.
That said, I try to at least put on sunscreen and tinted lipbalm or
gloss before leaving the house no matter where I'm going. Or I put on
the full face in the car. Y'all should see my car makeup bag :-).

Trilby attested:
While her face is a pretty "complete" face it's also very much a "morning face"
and all the components thereof are pretty subtle. The thing of it is ALL those
components.
What Trilby hasn't seen and therefore couldn't mention is that when we go to
WDW on Memorial Day/Labor Day and it's oppressively hot 'n' humid, the makeup
evaporates after the first 45 minutes.

This is exactly why I abandoned my highlights in favor of more natural

I used to never, ever be able to leave the house without makeup on. I only got
over it when I was in a situation that I didn't have my makeup with me, so I had
to go into work barefaced. I couldn't believe the *nice* comments I got, so
after that, I had an easier time not wearing a face-full all the time.
Now I probably go out a couple times a week without any makeup on at all. The
only times I do the full face are for special occasions, although if I have an
appointment somewhere, I'll do more than the typical day. I also have days where
I want to play with my makeup, so I end up wearing more than usual.
