My make up addiction has reared its ugly head after years of lying
dormant! It's a bit scary since I can't seem to just "look" anymore
at make up displays without buying at least one thing. The last time
I had it this bad was in 2000.
The other day I saw some great lipsticks from Almay one a shelf
display in the drugstore. When I went back, a few days later to buy
them, the display was gone. I became (almost) hysterical, yelling for
help from the store clerk. She calmly lead me to the wall rack where
the display had been moved. Even then I had to make her promise, a
few times, that this was indeed the very same display I had seen a few
days earlier.
There are other signs too:
juggling bills to justify purchases;
bringing up the subject of new lines or new products to totally
uninterested
people and then continuing to talk even though I'm the only only one
talking and the others' eyes have glazed over;
compiling a thick dossier of tear sheets from magazines of products I
want - - carrying it around in my purse and then confronting
bewildered SA's about products that haven't arrived in their store
yet... It goes on...
At least there is af!! Long Live AF!!!!!!!
