Your definitely cheating yourself by restricting to only 1 set of wheels. A quality set of snow tires will easily last you over 5 years. My Nokia Hakka 1 will be going on it's 5th winter (and they look like they can go another 5 winters). For the summer, the Toyo Proxes have been through 4 summers and have over 100,000km on them. I've been ridding on them since the summer of 1999 when I got rid the crappie firestone. To my shame, I gave barely used firestone to my sister for her 93 Civic,...

- problem on my 88 civic (please read)
- Posted on 10-12-2003 | 1 Comments
If the car looses power while running, the starter certainly is not the cause. I believe the '88 Civic has 4 LEDs on the ECU that will indicate diagnostic codes. The ECU is under the passenger seat, and the LEDs are at the front of the ECU. Next time the car acts up, see if you can get the diagnostic codes before turning off the ignition. Nacho wrote:

Carbon build up on the inside of the intake manifold and on the idle air control valve do affect idle and performance. I recently cleaned my intake manifold with seafoam from Napa and took the IACV off the intake manifold and cleaned the screen on it well. This smoothed out my idle and my car runs much smoother. By the way I have a 94 Acura Integra GS-R. If you have an idle problem such as hunting for an idle, surging, rough idle, or high idle when warm then the first step I would take...

I'm sorry but I need to respond to this even though its kind of a rant. I find it amazing that you actually had a Dodge Omni that ran well and is still running. I had an 86 and could only stand it for 6 months. What an incredible piece of junk. Now that I've gotten that off my chest, why don't you take a look at a Toyota Matrix. Great car, decent price. Outstanding reliability. "Mikey" <%noospaam)mikling@eol.ca> wrote in message news:Ryz_a.2360$9e4.1421@nntp-post.primus.ca...
- 2003 Accord EX V6 - Transmission noise?
- Posted on 10-10-2003 | 1 Comments
Your problem sounds just like mine. My 2003 Accord V6 has made a grinding noise when cold and at about the 1st to 2nd gear shift point since it was new (now 9000 miles). I can even feel the brief grinding in the gas pedal. I complained once but just got a blank stare from the dealer. I been too busy this year to followup. It only does it once after setting. It usually occurs when cold. Did you ever get it fixed? What is it? --
