Well, If it is the transmission (which is still under warranty for quite some time...) how long can I go with the car in this behavioral condition before it actually becomes dangerous? Would the transmission possibly just fail? My reasoning here is that the longer I can wait, the newer the free replacement will be when the car is more likely to need it (rather than when the car only has 26K on it). Bill

Yup, There seem to be a few different model designations between Canada and the US The 2001 + american Civic EX 4door have the Vtec motors and sunroofs, whereas in Canada, those options were not available on the civic 4 door. For those options you had to buy an Acura 1.7 EL, which I believe is not available in the states.

Sandy, In order to shutoff that like try this..... 1. Shut ur car off and take the key out of the ignition. 2. Press and hold the Trip reset button. 3. Put key in the ignition and turn as far as u can (DON'T START IT THOUGH!) and keep holding the Trip reset button. 4. This should reset the light. That light doesn't work off of preformance. It just works off of how many miles are on the car.
- 99 Accord radio code
- Posted on 10-16-2003 | 3 Comments
Included with Hondas with the Owners Manual is a white plastic card (credit card sized) that has the number. Since it appears you don't have it, the radio will have to be removed to access the serial number on the backside. The original selling dealer often keeps this info too as a matter of customer service. Go to the dealer where you bought the car and ask them for the help you need. I had the same problem when I first got my '03 Accord EX. I called the dealer and they connected me with the company that installed the mirror. I was told the compass would calibrate itself but just going around the block several time...at least five. Once I did that it worked. Have not had a problem since....that was about 5 months ago. Hope this helps. -- wolf00359

I had a problem with my 91 Accord where the rad fan timer control unit was mal-functioning causing my rad fan to turn on/off when the car was turned off. This drained the battering until it was dead. I simply removed my rad fan fuse as my car is older and soon ready for the car grave. Maybe you have the same problem?? Have you tried vinegar? It was the only thing that would get hard water spots off of my windshield. Dampen a rag with vinegar first and then wipe the windshield as you may not want to get any on your paint. Eric

Try to get urethane, cuz most fiberglass kits don't fit properly (needs body work at a shop). Fiberglass kits also crack very easily!!! As for the carbon fiber kits, make sure they use mainly carbon fiber (most kits and hoods for that matter are mostly fiberglass with a carbon fiber layer).
