yah, i think think thats definately an insurance job, either theirs or your sisters, the wheels wont go back to normal without a hell of alot of work, probably be easier to replace them, anything underneath can basically be removed with a hammer and a chisel just keep chipping it away until its all gone, also time consuming "Brian Smith" <Halifax@NovaScotia.Canada> wrote in message

If Timing Belt Found to be Defective or Leaking, Should the Water Pump be Inspected As Well?

it's not the timing belt itself, but the auto-tensioner for it. it's supposed to be filled with a small amount of oil or lubricant to dampen the noise associated with the unit and supposedly it can leak On Sat, 18 Oct 2003 22:15:59 -0500, "dimmi" <someone@new.rr.com> wrote:

Fuel Pump or Not?
Posted on 10-19-2003 | 4 Comments

In the 88-91 Civics, the gas tank needs to be dropped to access it. If this happens on a full tank of gas, I'd look for other problems. If this happens with little fuel in the tank, then it's quite possible. chris wrote:

What are "press-on" rotors?

Sounds like you have the proper rotors to me. Your Accord has rotors that slip over the hub, and from your description, that's what you've purchased. sonic412781 wrote:

Check blue book, and take about $500 off of Fair condition price for private sale. That will tell you what you should be paying. 50K KM of city driving is worse than 100K of highway driving, so bear that in mind. Towing Weight
Posted on 10-18-2003 | 1 Comments

Exceeding your vehicle's tow rating is generally OK, physically, at 10 or 20 percent. However, if you're going to be towing whatever it is you're towing alot of the time, there will be a significant increase in brake and tire wear. Furthermore, you're begging for transmission problems. However rarely it may happen, if a smart cop sees you (I know, oxymoron), he can write you a hefty ticket. I don't know if you've every looked at the rear end of a CR-V, but they're rather flimsy, so be careful...

Honda Accord 1987 - replacing PCV valve grommet

Eric <say.no@spam.now> wrote in message news:<3F8A8FE7.47D77049@spam.now>... I was finally able to replace the hose! I was able to maneuver my way from the top passenger side (had to remove a few hoses) and remove the clamp. Then, from the bottom, I was able to remove the hose. I had to remove the oil filter and one of the intake manifold supports. The hose came out in pieces by breaking it off with a set of pliers and a Phillips screwdriver. Installing the new hose was a piece of cake...

CRX Question

It can be either a "DX" or "HF". the HF (1.5) is a 8 valve engine with PGMFI The DX (1.5) is a 16 valve engine with DPFI And the Si (1.6) is a 16 valve engine with PGMFI Those were all the engine choices for an '89 CRX.

2003 Accord MP3 Player... Which CD-Rs are the best to use?
Posted on 10-17-2003 | 8 Comments

Not bad. I used all my bargaining power to get out of my lease. I terminated the lease on my 2000 civic a year early but I still had the full 96,000 KM on the car. The dealer offered me $12,150 for the car I only had to pay $250 to terminate the lease. Not a bad deal considering I was 24,000 KM over my mileage limit. Because of their generous offer though I ended up paying sticker price for the new Accord. I still feel I got a good deal though because in the end they beat the next best...

Valve adjustments on '91 accord

Paul Bucens wrote: Your "valve clattering" when driving under load up a mountain road could be pinging. Try using higher octane gas. Pinging can be very destructive for an engine. On another note, many shops recommend adjusting the valves every 15,000 mi. (24,000 km) However, it's been my experience that this can be extended to 30,000 mi. (48,000 km). Eric
