When To Change Brakes
Posted on 10-23-2003 | 11 Comments

Good point. Besides, often all 4 pads on same axle wear unevenly: from pad to pad and on the 4 corners of the same pad itself: I have measured before pad material left from 2mm to 4mm on all 4 pads for same axle. Because of this, when I inspect pads, I inspect all 4 pads, I even remove the pads for measurement with a small ruler on all 4 corners of each pad. Most mechanics in garages dont bother and visual inspect only one side of the pad on one wheel. If they find 4 or 5 mm, they might...

Correct. You will also need the e-brake cables from the Integra--the Civic ones are too short. "Eric Cantin" <va3erc@ZZva3ercZZ.ca> wrote in message news:z3Kdna7-KbUbawyiXTWJlg@magma.ca...

I agree but up here sometimes the wx changes rapidly and I commute 20 miles one way to work so it has happened a few times where I was out of town, fly in to fairbanks and it has snowed 6inches over night and I have to try to get home with what ever tires are on my car!!!? I could change early but like this year, it is Oct. 22 and we still have NO snow on the ground and the weather hasn;t been cold YET, usually we have several inches on the ground by Oct. 15th each year.... 91 Honda Accord missing ignition
Posted on 10-21-2003 | 1 Comments

Could possibly be due to oil soaked wires. Try a new set and see, they're not expensive and it would be time to replace them if they are the originals. All though if everything was working well and they looked good, I would leave the factory wires on. But that is not your case. I'm not sure. You could probably check out Honda's website. They're usually pretty good about that listing the features, (at least the Canadian one is). As for the auto-off headlights, there a small catch that's never mentioned in the manual (at least I didn't see it). If you leave the keys in the ignition with the engine off, and walk away fromt he car, the headlights will stay on. The auto-off feature only works if you've removed the key. This probably isn't an issue for most people but...

I've got the same problem with both passenger-side doors on my 97 Honda, and I find most of my friends are able to enter and exit through the windows, Dukes-of-Hazzard-style, just fine... ....NOT. As a matter of fact, I'd appreciate it if somebody could post a description of the method for removing the inside door panel. I was going to try the 'go monkey with it' method, but I thought I'd see if I could get a LITTLE more info than that first, lest I break something that's not already broken.

185/65 R14 vs 185/70/14?

Your speedometer will show about 3% higher with the 185/65's than with the 185/70's and the odometer will rack up miles about 3% faster. Your gearing will seem about 3% lower. All in all, the differences are small enough not to be of any practical concern. canuguy wrote:

I'm a firm believer in this. Eliminates having to turn your head for shoulder checks, but relies on peripheral vision and awareness of course. Learned it in an advanced driving course, and have used it since. The way I aim them is not as precise as on the web page, but quick and doesn't need a target to aim against: - aim the rear view mirror so you can see (through) the entire rear window
