2004 Accord EX seat comfort

"Tom Wilson" wrote I might have mentioned this earlier: in the Accord seats are side airbags. There are sensors here and there in? and around it, too. Therefore, the seats cannot be replaced. Interesting idea, though. :) Maybe I should have bought a '64 Chevy Impala and been done with it. I'm sure for that I could get any seat I want. Don't need no airbags in that thing.... Howard

I have a 2000 Honda Civic HB, and those Firestone's you have were original OEM equipment on that model of Civic. I can say without question that they are complete JUNK! The are about as good as a piece of plastic. Mine needed to be replaced at 48000 kms. Go with the Michelin HydroEdge; they're new to the market, and are awesome! Many thanks to all, most helpful group on the net. I isolated the problem to the BACKUP (radio) fuse. Some thoughts on past problems I fixed which may have a bearing. 1. Car has an aftermarket radio which was installed by the store. 2. I replaced the transmission computer about a year ago. What I had to do prior to the replacement was to reset it each day by pulling that fuse. Any connections?

1991 Accord Fuel Pump

Seat bottom is held in place along mid back edge with a 10mm bolt in a clip on the steel seat frame. Push your hand along the crack of the seat till you feel it. Remove the bolt, and lift the seat from the back edge. The front edge is held in by two places where the seat frame fits it two holes in the floor pan. Probably not the fuel pump that you are having trouble with. I learned all this the hard way. bob fivestring wrote:

I don't know this to be true of this specific vehicle but many vehicles have a crankshaft speed sensor located on the front of the crankshaft. Kind of like how an abs sensor and sensor ring operate. Honda Civic 1990/headlight, dashboard problems.

The nominal voltage is 14.5 V +/- 0.6V. It is never "boosted" to a higher voltage. Rather it is reduced under some circumstance in order to increase fuel economy. On my '94 Civic there are two separate set of conditions that will cause the alternator output voltage to be reduced: 1. While running the starter. Lowering the set point for the voltage regulator makes the engine easier to crank (it does not decrease battery voltage). Increasing it to provide more power to the starter would not work...
