That's what I thought, in all the Hondas (about 6-7 cars, different generations and models or Civics, Accords and Oddysseys) I've driven, the dimmer never turns the lights completely off. I know that for a fact because I always completely dimm the lights, it's just too distracting for me to have them brighter. Cosmin Charlie S wrote:

Thanks for the info. I was expecting some discomfort but not to this level. Some how I thought I cannot lower the car without coilovers. I guess I have wasted some money on those maxspeed coilovers. Odd problem on 1995 Honda Accord
Posted on 02-12-2004 | 9 Comments

She is trying to come up with a camera to take a picture of the fuse panel showing the bad fuse. I had her check the Honda dealer for an estimate of repair. My Ford dealer will troubleshoot any problem for $35 and tell you exactly what it will take to fix it. then you can decide whether to have them do it or order the parts and do it yourself. Unfortunately they will not tell her what it is unless they get the repair job. The mechanic shop she talked to said that it was a transmission fuse.

Fuel economy
Posted on 02-12-2004 | 11 Comments

Too high RPM is generally defined as above the 'redline' for a particular engine. That is to say, the max RPM that you are assured the parts in your engine will hold up to. I seriously doubt any Honda 4 banger has a redline below 5000 RPM. For best fuel mileage you should rpobably shift around 2,000 RPM (with a 4 banger anyway), for best performance you should probably shift at or somewhat below redline. Where you shift when desiring max performance depends on where your engine's power peaks....

I've used motor oil in my 91 Civic for years... the first one I had over 180,000 miles on it before I wrecked it and this current on I have 133,000 miles on it. I've been using motor oil in it since it was about 60K. I generally follow the factory's manual recommendation. If they give you options... pick one that's right for you. 82 Accord carburetor problem...floods out...won't start
Posted on 02-11-2004 | 3 Comments

These Accords had an issue with floats that sank, flooding out the carburetor and ended up getting gasoline into the motor oil. I would suggest you call your local Honda dealer and obtain a float kit, should still be available and change the oil and filter as well. Should take care of the problem "T.
