My girlfriend is about to buy a 93 Del Sol SI with only 57K miles. She's lucky
that the car was bought from and serviced at the same dealership by the first
and the current owners, so we have a very complete service history on the car
from the dealer.

We know the timing belt has not been changed. We have never owned Honda's
before, so we are not familiar with honda's maintenance requirement.

The dealer is saying 60k miles. I have seen opinions at this NG that range
from 60k to 90k to 105k. We don't have the owner's manual yet, but I did
register at the Honda Owner Link website where there's a maintenance schedule
for the 93 Del Sol SI, but that schedule said absolutely nothing about timing
belt, spark plugs, brake fluid, or manual trans fluid atall! Neither the
mileage nor the time interval about these service items.

If anyone has the owner's manual for this car or this engine (1.6L), please
advise, so we can plan for maintenance needs after buying the car. Obviously,
I'm asking here because I don't want to take the dealer's word for it.

Hey there, I'm in Canada & I've owned a pile of Honda's over the last 20
years. As I recall (no pun intended), Honda has nearly always suggested a
timing belt change at 100 000 kms, which translates to 62 000 miles. So
that's what I'd feel comfortable going by. A timing belt is certainly NOT
something you wanna risk failing as you're cruising down the interstate at
70 mph!
You're lucky to find a Del Sol at all- especially one with so few miles.
They're VERY tough to find in these parts!
