- 98 Acura 1.6EL - 2nd Gear Popping Out

in hard acceleration and / or fast shifting. 129K km. Brought to dealer.
They changes some bushing but problem not fixed. Anyone out there have any
idea what the problem could be?

Sometimes on my civic, if I accelerate too hard, the tires
bounce instead of spin out. This has knocked it outta gear
a few times.
Aside from that, check that the shift linkage is adjusted properly, and also maybe a quick check on your trannie fluid level.

My 98 EL has 354,000 km and the transmission has never jumped out of gear,
so I suspect it is more than just wear and tear. My 1-2 shift does grind
the odd time when shifting very fast at red line, but I generally chalk it
up as driver error.
