You would probably have to order a new steering wheel from Honda and it
would be really expensive. You could visit the local Honda Dealership and
ask the service manager or parts manager about the expense involved. There
should be no charge for the estimate. It's my guess that the cost would be
over $500.00.

In addition to Bill's insights, you will also probably need to purchase the
EX radio. This depends on whether or not you have the single-disc CD player
that is standard in the LX, or the 6-disc in-dash CD player. The steering
wheel controls for the radio would not operate the radio unit with the
single-disc CD player, however.

You would then need to purchase the entire EX radio unit for the steering
wheel controls to work, a major expense as well. Not worth the effort, so
just extend your right hand over to the big volume knob on the dashboard
when you want to change the volume! I can do this without taking my eyes
off the road.

I know where to get an ex radio fairly cheaply. I know it's easy
enough to reach over, but the wife wants the buttons on the wheel. I'm
pretty sure that the cover on the wheel where the buttons go is
removeable seperate of the steering wheel, just don't know if the
wiring is in place. our sales person thought it would be there, but he
was not completely sure.....
