I was wondering because I know that a mother can transfer HIV to a baby
through breastfeeding.

That seems like pretty much the same thing in terms of HIV risk
(Actually I would assume that breast milk would have less viral load
than Semen).

So is swallowing ok in all instances? Even if you just ate? or haven't
eaten recently?

For HIV, the risk is much lower overall but it depends on a variety of
issues. The viral load in the ejaculate. The condition of the
recipients mouth (sores, infections, presence of alcohol, bleeding
gums may all enhance risk).

In short--probably better to avoid ejaculation with a partner who has
or may be HIV+ if you are HIV-negative.
