It had to happen. THT is launching a support group for gay men who
are NOT taking HIV wonder drugs.

HIV and sexual health charity, Terrence Higgins Trust (THT), is
starting a new support group in Sussex for gay men who are HIV
positive and are not currently on any medication. The first session
will take place on 15 April in central Brighton and the charity is
keen to get people signed up as soon as possible.
Sue Peters, for THT in the South said: "The aim of the group is to
provide a supportive environment to talk about various issues,
particularly focusing on what it’s like to not be taking medication
when it may seem that most other people living with HIV are taking
treatment. Other issues could include disclosure of status to friends
and family, relationships, and dealing with stressful situations."
Sue adds: "This new group will provide a safe, supportive and
confidential environment where people can share experiences. If you’re
living with HIV, are currently not on treatment and you’d like
information or support, or if you’d just like to meet people in the
same boat as you, please come along."

I wondered if this was an April Fool joke, but then I remember the
whole HIV lie is one big joke.

When they found out I was HIV-positive, my colleagues changed their
attitude to me a lot. I even overheard two of my colleagues saying
people with HIV or AIDS should be rounded up and burned. I was shocked
when I found out what most members of society really thought of people
like me. I want to help people living with HIV and AIDS and offer them
moral support.

I don't totally disagree with this point of view.
We've already discussed how people who are diagnosed HIV+ and get ill
are the dregs of society who have a dodgy, second-rate, immune system.
Fortunately most of them are gay or black or both, so their poor
immune system performance isn't a loss to mankind.
The saviours of mankind are people, such as myself, who have a
superman type immune system that's winning the battle against lethal,
killer, HIV.
Are those of us with a superior immune system treated with the
reverence we deserve? No, we're told not to have sex otherwise we'll
be locked away in prison because the weak members of society are
scared of us.
Is that what you're doing in the second picture from the top with your
hand up that guy's arse? No doubt you're holding back a flood of
diarrhoea that's the result of a lifetime on life-saving HIV wonder
drugs.
