Oh, and your initial fact that "39.5 MILLION PEOPLE ARE LIVING WITH
AIDS WORLDWIDE" is wrong. Fewer than 39.5 million people worldwide
are ESTIMATED to have HIV, and you can can't (usually) have AIDS
without HIV.
How many people worldwide have AIDS? I've no idea. Here's a typical
example of an answer to that question
<http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIDS>:
----- Begin Quote -----
How many people have AIDS
About 3,000,000 people died because of AIDS in 2004. About 500,000 of
these people were children. About 40,000,000 people in the world had
HIV in 2004.
Most of the people who have HIV live in Africa. Most of the children
who die from AIDS live in Africa. Best home drug tests
Many people with HIV do not know they have it. The number of people
with HIV is unknown
HIV/AIDS is a problem.
----- End Quote -----
As so often happens in the wacky world of HIV, ask a specific question
and you end up a rambling answer that doesn't deal with the initial
query.
