- Bus braking
- Posted on 07-16-2003 | 5 Comments
The other day I was taking the bus (which was about 40ft long and almost fully occupied with other passengers) and the bus was travelling at roughly 40-45 mph as it was approaching a bus stop (that typically is vacant). But the driver then suddenly SLAMMED the brakes as he noticed that someone was waiting at the stop to board. At this point, all passengers must have felt a noticeable jerk due to the rapid deceleration involved from the braking. I got off the bus a couple of stops later and I...

The good enema is part of the war. Right now we are in a great war between good and evil. There are forces which fight to promote and sustain ways of life based on greed and use of the resources of the world for only profit. There are forces which fight to promote the sustainable life and good of the planet and all its lifeforms. The enema has been replaced by drugs, pills, things like pitocin used to strengthen contractions and speed the delivery of babies at the discretion of the doctor...

Think about like this, if you infect someone else they have a legal right to come back and blow your brains out (no jury would convict them, certainly not me). I am starting to think that forcible testing of everyone in the population for contagious diseases is necessary. Those testing positive will be
- Please tell my girlfriend this stuff is NOT WATER!!!
- Posted on 07-10-2003 | 4 Comments
My girlfriend insists that the beverage we purchase from WalMart called "Clear American" is water. These are clear, carbonated, fruit flavored beverages, and are available by other names at various super markets. It's true the first ingredient is carbonated water, but that's also true of soda, and MANY other beverages. Please help me convince my girlfriend that this beverage is not water. This stuff is much closer to diet soda than water. Here's the list of ingredients: carbonated water,...

- Hydrogenated Oil
- Posted on 07-08-2003 | 2 Comments
Hello everyone, I'm a little worried. Today I found several articles scattered throughout the web that all discuss the dangers of consuming hydrogenated oils. Apparently hydrogenating an oil saturates and solidifies fat and helps to prolong the shelf life of thousands of food products. When a product is hydrogenated "trans fatty acids" (whatever the hell that means) are produced. Just out of curiosity I decided to examine the items in my cupboard and found that about 90% of them

In a quest to drop the spare tire, I've taken to walking about fifteen minutes a day carrying two 10kg weights. I walk quickly, and can feel my heart thumping away, so I know I'm at least getting a good aerobic workout. I'm looking to accelerate my progress with a dietary suppliment, and am looking for recommendations as to what actually works. (E.g., what's the story with chitosan or ephedrine?) I have no other health problems, and don't drink or smoke. Ideally I'd like something that...
