Accidentally eating insects...help!
Posted by mossdboss84@yahoo.com

My apologies if this is not the right place to post this question - if
not any pointers on where to would be great...

To my dismay I found some moths have made a breeding ground inside a
plastic bag of nuts in my cupboard. I noticed several worm like
creatures crawling around the cupboard...My question is I have eated
some opened baged potato chips over the last few days. Now I am
slightly paranoid that I may have ingested some of the crawling baby
moths...My question is how dangerous is this? What if I ate them
without having chewed them? Is there anything I can eat or drink to
get rid of them? Laxative, metamucill, vinegar? Thank you for any
advice.

I think your stomach juices will kill the little guys.

There are some 600 types of edible insects in the world. If you aren't
sick within 24 hours then you are safe since these guys don't lay eggs
that are meant to hatch in your blood stream.

So just relax and think of them as free protein. I think there was as
study a while back that said we ate 15 spiders per year in our sleep
that was released in the early 1990's. They don't do you any harm and
neither will these.
