Hello everyone: I seem to have two of the common side effects of Viagra:
terrible headaches and a stuffy nose. Can anyone (that has taken this med)
recommend a good headache pill (and how many do you take)? I can't take
Excedrin late at night because of the caffeine. What about a decongestant?
Any recommendations there?

And, before you ask, I do not have high blood pressure and am not on any
other meds.

Viagra is very common for these sort of side effects, however, it's probably
because it's considered a vasodilator. You might try taking a couple
extra-stregnth tylenol or sinus med an hour or so before the viagra, but
chances are it will only delay the inevitable. Many dont experience the
headaches until the next morning (ie the Viagra hang-over).... Worth a try,
though. Some have said that the headaches go away with continued use...if
you're a relatively new user, you might try and tough it out for a bit. I
recommend talking to your doctor about Cialis, though... a lot of people who
complain about the side-effects of Viagra, don't have the same problems with
Cialis - fewer reports of headaches, anyway.

Just a word of caution about Viagra (in particular). It has been
questionably linked to a high number of deaths. Headaches with vision
problems sends up all sorts of red flags if you ask me. I'm personally not
convinced the drug is safe. Good luck to you.

Viagra (Sildenafil) belings to a group of medicines called
"phosphodiesterase type-5 inhibitors". As far as I know there are two other
types of medications in this group, one called Cialis (Tadalafil) and the
other Levitra (Vardenafil).

During my work in a pharmacy I have spoken to a few men who have had side
effects from Viagra, and have tolerated Cialis very well. This is a
situation where you may do well to try the alternatives on the market.
