- question about MONONUCLEOSIS

Is Mono an infectious disease that strikes over and over again? Or is it like
Chicken Pox that you get it once and can never be infected again?
And once you get over mono, does it leave your body completely or stay dormant?

Mononucleosis (often called "mono") is an infection caused by the
Epstein-Barr virus. Signs of mono include fever, sore throat, headaches,
white patches on the back of your throat, swollen glands in your neck,
feeling tired and not feeling hungry.
There is no cure and reactivation is likely at some stage. For in depth go
to my website, on right had side of home page click on "EMED" and type
"Mononucleosis". This should answer any questions you have

When I had it my main symtoms were extreme weakness and a faint rash on
my stomach. I went back to work after 3 weeks but should have waited
another week. For at least a year afterward I would suddenly become
etremely tired and would have to lay down to rest.
