- Who else feels like they got boned by roaccuane....?

I thought it was just my health being crap or my diet or something, but I'm
fit and my diet is excellent and I seem to have a few of the side effects of
roaccutane...
Hair loss: this happened almost exactly a month after I stopped taking on my
6 month course (which cured my acne I might add) BUT!! I'm 22 and there is
patches of hair missing from my head! I can brush my hand through my hair
and at least 10 strands break loose from the root of the hair!
Night Vision: This was at its worst during the treatment, and I was told it
would clear up... But its still quite bad... Night vision is nothing on what
it used to be..
Dry skin: the least of my problems, but still a pain in the face
So where do you start? GP's don't seem to really know enough about it to
help you out properly, Detox? Can this actually help?
Or is my head of hair and vision and mood doomed for the rest of my life
because the docs said roaccuatane was the answer...
I'm really starting to wish I had those pimples back that stopped me
sleeping on my back at night!

How long have you been off it?
I had hair loss, red face, dry skin (although I never had the night
vision problems) that persisted for some time after I was off the
Accutane. But eventually that all cleared up. The hair took about 4-5
months to completely recover. I've been on Accutane a bunch of times
over 20 years, sometimes at exceptionally high dosages, and also one 3
year low dose course, and I suffered no permanent bad effects.
Maybe talk to a derm, who might know more.
