Another Revlon Lipglide. This one is Ruby Slippers. Very red and bright on
me. I'll have to use a light hand with this. But it really is very pretty.

I managed to knock an item off my fall/winter "must buy" list - a gorgeous black
trench coat! It's ankle-length (in flats, which I was wearing today), double
breasted and belted with a zip-out liner. Very, very kewl and I can wear it with
my longest dresses. It's by Fleet Street and was on clearance at Marshall's for
$30! In perfect, brand-new condition! I love when that happens! I desperately
needed a black coat *and* a new trench since my old London Fog died. So two
birds and whatnot.

Hit the huge Express sale. I was slightly annoyed at how the tags say "No
sale is ever final!" but found out post-purchase that sales on sale items
are final. [rolls eyes] Anyhow, I walked away with:

- silk corset top in blue/black print on pale lavender background. I was
going to wear these w/ jeans, but DH insists that it would be better w/ a
black skirt.
- Dolce & Gabbana inspired corset dresses, one in black and one in red. DH
was amazed at how perfectly the size 2 fit me.
- nude cami top to go under sheer tops. Didn't try this on before buying,
under the incorrect assumption that I could return it if it didn't fit
(which is unfortunately the case).
- sea green paisley shorts w/ attached wraparound skirt.

I wanted several other things, but there wasn't anything in my size.
FWIW, the sale is worth checking out if you don't mind rooting through
boxes, looking for your size. The sale ends this coming Saturday.

Trilby asked:

Yes. My first wing collar shirt, from Burberry's (back when it was *Burberry's*
and not "young and funky and hip, baby, YEAH!") was/is so beloved it's fraying
mightily. So while rummaging at S5A I noticed an Armani shirt in my size and
delighting in it's ridiculously low price and grateful at the timing (a black
tie event to attend...the one where my sole became unhinged) I snatched it.

But I have never been thrilled with the way the wing collar on the Armani sat.
It has always been too floppy and no amount of starch can make up for the
unconstructed nature thereof. Besides, starch would REALLY compromise the
longevity of the garment, on top of Not Helping The Look.

So I saw the RL shirt, the price was very right and I snagged.

I shall report on its maiden voyage, or perhaps you may be in attendance
thereat. Do not take this to be an invitation to thwack me with a champagne
bottle.

Dior Magnascopic Mascara in purple. It's the most gorgeous shade of purple and
really helps out the green in my greenyyellowhazel eyes. Bought it with the
gorgeous Randeefw who got the fabulous Diorskin powder foundation!

Also a murano glass vase in deep red for $5!
