- Shampoo/Conditioner formulas within same brand
- Posted by Sophie
Hope that title made sense.
I posted yesterday about re-discovering Garnier Fructis. I did think maybe
the Normal hair conditioner was not conditioning enough so today I bought
the Dry/Damaged hair version. Well I got home and out of curiosity, checked
out the ingredients on both. They're identical. Are all conditioners from
the same brand the same? They have to be different, don't they, to be
marketed as Normal, Dry/Damaged, Fine, etc...?
Something has to be different cos last time I used GF I used the Fine hair
version and it broke me out, and that's not happening with the Normal hair
version.
Just curious.

I'm not sure about all conditioners, but I'm sure some have more of certain
ingredients and less of others, like oils or heavier products that can weigh
hair down. Maybe they just change the amounts but not the types of
ingredients.

That's what I thought. It might be the same ingredients but in bigger
amounts for a more moisturizing conditioner.

I don't know what you're using, my favorite is Trevor Sorbie Leave-in
conditioner. (http://www.your-cosmetics.com ) My hair is kind of like butt
hair & this is about all that works for me. I've been using it for about
three years now, but I'll occationally use Lanza's "Rebalance".

the listing can be the same but the amounts can differ greatly and make a
major difference in the outcome.......

It means my hair is a pain in the butt. -- ok, it really means I have
shitty hair -- OK?
Lots and lots! I have "big hair". But I have been told not to be so hard
on myself. Some have even said, they'd love to have my hair. Its long &
thick. Its just too frizzy for me (is it a case of "you always want what
you can't have?"). And a pain in the butt. I'd love to have long shiny
_almost_ straight hair -- I love Polynesian hair. After I shampoo, rinse &
dry I can't run a comb through my hair. And that's what I love about Trevor
Sorbie (what do you use?). After I rub a little in my hair, my comb glides
through my hair (after I finally get the knots out). I can curl it & the
curl will last most of the evening -- mostly because I can comb it & get a
nice curl. Now, if only I could find a "microwave curler" -- uuuhhhh --
maybe not.
