Re: Hair care routine

Daily: Shampoo. I have a bunch of shampoos, and I just randomly grab any two.
I follow with a conditioner, sometimes a light detangling conditioner,
sometimes a deeper one. To style, I use some mousse on my bangs (NOT to do an
80s mall-hair look, heaven forbid) to give them enough hold to stay straight
when I blow-dry them. I use Sebastian Volumizing Spray or Rusk Thick on the
roots then comb through, blowdry using my fingers, except for the bangs where I
use an oval brush to pull them straight. Curling iron on a few of the ends to
kick them up and out, or occasionally in and under, and a mist of glossing
spritz.

Every 10 days or so I use a heavy conditioner with a plastic processing cap and
an old-fashioned bonnet style hairdryer to heat it up.

Every 3 months or so: Foil highlights with Loreal Feria Shimmering High
Intensity Bleach, followed with toner in Ivory, or more accurately, my mother
does it for me and I do hers.

Daily:
I wash mine every other day...I switch back and forth between the mousse of the
moment and Rockster. Blow it out using fingers instead of a brush...gives me
more lift this way. I don't blow it out completely dry. Every now and then a
spritz of leave-in conditioner or Frizz-Ease. Follow up with Aveda hair spray.

Special occassions get the hot air curler brush or curlers and a bit of teasing
and spray.

Sundays nothing, just condition and let air dry.
