- Question on hair coloring
- Posted on 08-14-2003 | 6 Comments
I colored my hair by kit yesterday and by mistake, put the conditioner in the mix with the color and developer. My hair came out fine although a bit redd Does adding the conditioner to the mix instead of using it after coloring interfere or have any effect on the coloring process? What's the best shampoo and conditioner to keep my red/brown color from fading.

High End Hair Care...What Do you Like?? I like Redken stuff...the Extreme shampoo and conditioner, the Anti-Snap leave in, the Quick Treat Spray, Glass and for other products I like Farouk Biosilk Silk Therapy, been wanting to try Matrix Sleek shampoo/cond in the orange bottles (any good?) I looove Artec too. I love Coco Bean shampoo and Kiwi shampoo/conditioner. Haven't found a hairspray I like yet. I don't like a lot of hold or stiffness, just a little. So what do y'all like and use?
- How to remove hair highlights?
- Posted on 08-11-2003 | 3 Comments
I'm just wondering if it is possible to remove highlights from your hair? May hair is medium blonde and I added light blonde highlights... Not really happy with them. Would something like Robert Craig Colorfix work? If anyone could sugges product that would help I'd really appreciate it. Thank you everybody! :-)
- Best home hair highlighting kit?

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if any of you highlight your hair at home, and what brand you use? Do you get good results? I used to highlight my hair, but then started using L'oreal's Le Blondissemes, one step blonding process. I'd like to go back to just highlights. I'd appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks in advance! ~Marilyn
- I've found my perfect curl ritual

For those of you who have wavy hair, but not, annoying and kinky, but straight in places, read this and try it if you have the means. I have battled my curls as we all have. But about a month ago I found the perfect combination of products and schedule. My curls are bouncy, defined and shiny. Here it is: I get in the shower and use baby shampoo only on my roots, then I use a mix of Pantene Color Complete Therapy conditioner and Suave kids detangler, I comb out after about 5 minutes and then...

Judy writes: I agree, but there are many people who think nothing of making an impulse buy with the notion that they'll think about the purchase *after* the purchase and return the item if they change their mind. That's not so bad if they do it with items that can be resold, such as clothing, as long as they don't wait too long and don't wear the item before returning it. But with cosmetics, the returned item is hopefully being discarded by the store. Over and over I read people here say...
- Hair dye and bleach
- Posted on 07-29-2003 | 8 Comments
I'm hoping someone can help me out with some info, which I don't seem to directly be able to find if I just do a search. I bleached and dyed my hair blonde using packet stuff from the chemist recently, and now its nearly time to do the regrowth and I would like to be able to use the professional stuff. I want to bleach the roots again, and perhaps some of the mid-lengths, which are still a bit uneven, and then add blonde colour back in, I did this before with a permanent, and I'm happy to do...

My girlfriend has brownish blonde hair naturally but she has been dying it dark red for a while now... Anyway, today she bought this loreal fierre (or something) bleaching kit. her hair had grown in about an inch or so since the last time she died it so the roots were her natural color. After she bleached it the roots were bleach blonde, however, the rest of her hair (where it was red) is now a bright orange color. Needless to say, shes very upset about it and Im trying to find her a way...
- What is your definition of "high maintenance"?
- Posted on 07-19-2003 | 20 Comments
Mine is a woman (why not man?, don't know) who is always perfectly coiffed, dressed, probably colors or highlights her hair (don't ask me why, just seems that way to me), gets regular pedicures, manicures, facials, spends alot (or more than she can afford) on makeup, hair care, clothes, shoes, is always perfectly accessorized and usually likes expensive jewelry. Basically expects the best of everything for herself. I do some (but not most) of the above, but my friend says I'm high maintance...

"Mpamber" wrote "kayper" wrote Two months-- no clothes, accessories, hair care, skin care, or makeup. I was trying for three months, but the willpower isn't what I thought it was. I have enough of all of these things that I wouldn't *have* to re-buy for, hmmm, probably a year. Two months forced me to actually use the sheer ridiculous amount of stuff I already have. And boy, did I save a *lot* of money.
- perming over thermally reconditioned hair?
- Posted on 07-07-2003 | 2 Comments
Hi everyone. I recently got my hair thermally reconditioned, and I'm not very pleased with the results. I got it done with a lady who has been doing this for almost 4 years, and is very experienced. My hair is really fine, and it is virgin hair. And it wasn't even that wavy in the first place, so I thought it would turn out great -- but my hair did not turn out totally straight. I did all the stuff you're supposed to afterwards -- I didn't wash it or put it behind my ears, etc. But it has...
