Garnier Fructis revisted

I am in love. I bought the 3 minute treatment and *love* how my hair looks -
shiny, soft, and smooth, and did I say shiny In the last year I've had
2 perms, straightened my hair, and colored it. I had tried everything to
get it looking decent - Kelp Help, Redken, V05, you name it. I was hesitant
to try the GF cos in Googling I see that back in February and March I didn't
like the GF shampoo for Fine hair - it made me break out. I've been using
the fine hair conditioner on my daughter and her hair looks great (of course
she's only 5 and has never done anything to her hair - lol) so I've started
to use it too. I think I might need the Dry/Damaged hair conditioner.

I also have this itchy scalp thing going on and nothing has helped - Head &
Shoulders, Pantene, Physique, various tea tree oil shampoos, etc... The GF
Normal hair shampoo is awesome - tons of lather, smells okay, feels so
clean, and no itching!

I put everything into pump bottles so I have no issues with the flip-top
lids. The smell is a bit much but I can get over it for a non-itchy scalp
and shiny, smooth hair.

I'm glad I decided to try this again

I just started using this also. My color treated hair feels so great and I
can't believe the shine! I use the color treated formula. This is even
better than the expensive deep conditioner I bought at the stylists. The
salon chain owner has his own line and I had to leave it on for 15 minutes
in a plastic cap. I love this stuff!

Anyone use Garnier hair color? What did you think?

running out to see if the shampoo/conditioner is a good thang for me

The last time I colored my hair I used Garnier Nutrisse in Chestnut (medium
golden brown). I liked it, it didn't seem harsh like other brands, it did
smell though (like they all do IMO). I would use it again.

Glad you found something that works!

Just out of curiosity, have you smelled the "anti-dandruff" version? I'm
curious as to whether or not it smells the same as the "normal" shampoo
since I have the former and I don't find the smell annoying at all, but
others have commented on the strong rotten fruit smell of the regular
version. I like the anti-dandruff shampoo and think it works and smells
fine!

Nope I haven't smelled that one. The smell is just very artificial to me.
But it doesn't last long.

I went out last night and bought the 3 minute treatment, thinking I'd see
how this worked before I tried the shampoo/conditioner.

Wow my hair is *very* shiny and *very* soft! My hair was terribly dull from
a couple or three bad color jobs (whole different story) but this seemed to
help a lot! I usually stay away from the drugstore conditioners. I used to
be stuck up when it comes to hair care. I used to be worse and not even go
near the drugstore brands....EVER! These days I give any/all products a
shot since I haven't been very impressed w/ the salon product picks lately.

Could it be that the drugstore brands are getting better? /me shrugs.
whatever works is fine to me at this point

$3.99 at Walgreens...definitely worth the money. ..yes I can see how some
would be turned off by the smell of the product (i wasn't horrified by it
but can understand other's complaints) but once it was rinsed off I couldn't
smell it anymore.

Thanks for the rec,
Joy

Glad it worked for you

Yeah, and expensive brands aren't so great-smelling either! I've been using
MOP volumizing shampoo & conditioner, and though I love what it does to my
hair, I don't love the price or the smell. Garnier will be my next shampoo
purchase.....

I read this and went to go buy it. But, when I got it home I realized I
bought the wrong thing. I got the regular conditioner for permed/color
treated hair. Instead of returning it I decided to try it last night. I do
not see any difference. So, I will have to go buy the correct thing and try
again.

I have been using this for a while along with the anti dandruff shampoo.
The apple-y smell is a little too much for me, but it doesn't last long.
