That's a great price.
I like the 60s style of the coat.
Looks like a coat for a tall person.

Oh nooooooooooo! I never even considered that! I hope I won't have to
"re-bay" it. I sort of think it belonged to a petite person to begin with
though; it's really small through the shoulders--15", IIRC...

Cofarb, that is GORGEOUS! Worth a whole lot more than you paid for it! I know
you'll enjoy it every time you wear it.

Thanks for sharing my enthusiasm. I am in sort of a fashion vacuum when it
comes to loving vintage stuff. Some of my daughter's friends admire funky
old clothes (Lord knows the daughter does not appreciate my freakish
taste!), but none of my friends here "get it". I wish more a.f.ers would
post links to the stuff they get on ebay, especially the high fashion and
vintage stuff.

Be careful...
I spend an ENORMOUS amount of time on eBay, and at
this point, I get more clothes there than elsewhere (seriously - my
purchases for myself in the last month or so in actual stores has been
a whopping $50, all of it at NY&Co, which actually means a print tank,
a funky top, a "velvet" skirt to match a drape neck top I got for
Christmas, a monogram l/s tee, and a watch). On eBay, I've spent
hundreds of dollars on bead stuff lately, and always seem to be
bidding on some item or another, or another, or another...
Fondly,

I think it was so inexpensive because it is pretty small. There is a lot
less competition for tiny clothes on ebay than for average or plus sized
clothing. With a vintage coat like that, I also run the risk of having the
armholes be cut really high/tight. I'm really excited about that coat in
spite of the fact that I have way too many already.

The coat has landed and it is amazing! It fits perfectly, and the
colors--the black with red trim--are incredibly vivid. I am sooooo happy
with it! Unfortunately, we are in the single digits here for the next
several days so an unlined wool coat is not on the wardrobe plan in the
forseeable future.

Good for you, I am glad that it is a perfect fit. Do you just take a chance
that clothing items will fit, since each manufacturer may vary a bit when it
comes to sizing??

A pair of lovely lampwork bead earrings. She is local to me so I can go
pick them up in person. Unfortunately, I lost out on two other auctions of
her stuff but there is always more to come.

Her id is sly*designs. This was my second pair from her. Do you know of
any that you like? I find myself really liking these lampwork beads.

I know, Shalini! I'm addicted to lampwork, it can be soooo beautiful!
I have so many lampwork artists on my eBay favorite sellers list that they
would never fit here! Amazing artists, all of them. Some even make earrings
from their work. But mostly, I have the bead artists -- I make my own jewelry,
and have no real use for sellers who sell jewelry.
That said, here are a few artists who make beads, and if you fall in love with
any, I can either hook you up with someone who can make the earrings, or I can
do it for a fee. (Not spam, just trying to help) I can also email you the
full list of artists if you want. :-)
There are almost-endless variations in this art form, so......if you don't see
what you like, go to eBay and keep looking. It's amazingly rich and varied.
Some are subtle, glowing beauties....some look just like your corgi! Some are
covered with flowers, and some just defy description.
