also at mellow beach around 36th street, hubby won me a banana boat zippered

Thanks for starting this thread, Kel, as I was going to start one myself.

I had most of the whole 4th of July day free, as we didn't have to be at the
party we attended until late afternoon. I decided to pop in to make a
return at the "mini" Filene's a few minutes from my house (it's in a town
center vs. a mall, so very easy in-and-out). I checked out the items on
sale, and with extra 20%-off coupons, they were practically giving stuff
away. I bought:

* A bunch of Jockey for Her undies for about 50% off full retail
* A pair of Dr. Scholl's "Heaven" sandals in red suede -- originally $39.99,
they were marked down to $29.99, and I paid $23.99 for them after the
20%-off coupon was applied. These are an interesting take on the original
Dr. Scholl's sandal with the wooden soles -- they have the same style upper
(with adjustable straps that allow me to get a great fit with my narrow
feet) but in padded suede, with a nice cushiony sole. They look great with
my patchwork Lilly Simple skirt!
* A black straw Liz Claiborne bucket bag with pink lining -- originally $54,
I paid $19.99 for it. I'm not totally in love with it, but I needed a
basic, everyday black summer bag that can fit a lot of crap; this one will
do fine.

I LOOOOVE this hotel and spa. I regularly have the big-*ss bottles of their

You and me both, Nancy! I've probably been to at least a dozen different
spas around the world, and this one is *still* my all-time favorite . Great
ambience, incredible service, and every therapist from the masseuse to the
facialist is top-notch. The best treatments I've received have always come
from this spa.

I focused on swimwear....

Cherokee tankini separates from Target: top has variegated horizontal
stripes of white, yellow and navy, bottom is solid navy. I thought
I'd be drawn to a floral swimsuit this year, but the sportiness of
this appealed to me.

adidas "Arvinda" swim slides: I've always liked adidas slides, but I
didn't want the bulky Velcro side closure or the bumpy insole. These
slip on without a closure, have a smooth contoured insole, vents on
the vamp and a touch of yellow among the navy and white color scheme.

Rimless blue reflective sunglasses: a no-name brand in a medium-sized
rectangular shape and a nice change from my usual black sunglasses.

Now on the hunt for a well-priced pair of white linen drawstring
pants........Laurie B.

Don't know what you mean by well-priced but Banana Republic had their cropped
drawstring linen pants on sale for 29.99 this past weekend. I was at the
Tyson's Corner VA location. They came up to the ankle for me.
