<snipped>

Best item from Ebay: Long black wool fitted winter coat, fully lined in
black satin, heavily hand-embroidered with colorful flowers and
butterflies. I paid $2.50, plus shipping, for a grand total of about $7.

I bought a jewelry box filled with jewelry for around $30. The owner''s
grandmother had died and she obviously didn't know what she had. She also took
a bad picture of the stuff, which discouraged bidding.
I lightened the photo with photoshop and saw some very nice items, so I bid on
it.. When I got it, I found a Rebajes bangle in perfect conditions worth
$100-200, a silver Spratling bracelet worth $600. and a Georg Jensen pin worth
around $300. All the stuff was in great shape. I have no idea what this
person was thinking.

Various vintage compacts, which I collect, both for personal use and for gifts,
and as much as I'm afraid to post this, the "perfect pair" of maternity jeans
for a mere 4.74 (this is with shipping).

THAT IS THE ULTIMATE FIND!!! :-) That Was A Fantastic Idea To Lighten
The Photo. As For What The Person Was Thinking, Who Knows??? Chances
Are She Had No Clue What Anything Was Or Just Wanted To Get Rid Of
These Things Fast (Sad Memories?). YOU Did Her A Favor.....She Has $30
In Her Pocket (Probably What Some Would Pay For The Jewel Box
Alone).........In Return, You Have A Goldmind ~ Literally!!!
Such Amazing Pieces.....You Have Exquisite Taste.....ENJOY!!!

Awww, you flatter me (and I'm happy you found us).
If anyone remembers me kvelling about an EBay buy several months ago and
the great service I got - well, this is the lady.

My ultimate eBay find would have to be a pair of Capezio leather butterfly
boots I got for $10. Now, since Britney Spears has worn the same pair of boots
in public, the Capezio boots are always much higher priced on eBay. One pair
was recently going for over $200.

I recently won an auction for a brand new periwinkle La Blanca swimsuit -- the
total with shipping was $8. There were some problems actually getting the item
from the seller, including some sort of mark/stain that she noticed as she was
packing it.
I convinced her that I was perfectly fine with having to try to get the stain
out and although she offered to send me the suit *for free*, I insisted on
paying her (especially since I figured pretty much anything is simple to get out
of nylon/lycra).
The suit arrived this week, is in absolutely flawless condition (she removed the
stain with one of those spray on stain removers) and it fits perfectly. The
kicker is that the seller also included a brand new red Jantzen suit to
compensate me.
The Jantzen suit also fits perfectly. Of course, this was NOT part of the deal,
so I intend to work out a deal with her so that she is fairly compensated for
the 2nd suit as well. While I would consider returning it since it wasn't part
of the original deal, the darn suit is too pretty and fits too well!

A Hermes clutch bag for $20. It was squirrelled away with 2 giveaway bags,
and the picture was bad. It is finds like this that inspire Ebay addiction.
