It's an unusually fitted style for Eddie Bauer - I bought one for me
and one for my husband (the Tall women's sizes work well for men, I
find). He did notice that the closure was on the female side, but
thought it was funky for us both to wear the same sweater. That's why
I love him!!

I didn't think the sweater look particularly 60s in style.
It just looks like a traditional wool sweater.
