Looking for MAC Brunette Brow Pencil
Posted on 01-06-2004 | 1 Comments

Yes, as a matter of fact the Eye Brows were the beginning of the end for the Brunette & Fawn Brow Pencils. Our location is out of Brunette entirely and we only have three Fawns left. Other locations may have heftier stock levels. Let MAC know you are sad to see it go--if enough people say so, it may make a comeback. In the meantime, I'd say to try the MAC website, gloss.com, and the Nordies

a day. What a huge waste of lungs, breath, and money. Quit back in 1988, had a few slips up that year, but have been a non-smoker ever since. You can do it. Use any and all techniques that you need, and hang in there. You can do this!!!!!!! - - Carol- (remove Nospam to email)

Tigi cosmetics source?

Actually, I've only used it once--I had photos taken a few months ago, and the makeup person used it in "plum" at the time. It looked nice, so I thought I would try to find it, but it appears to be part of a discontinued line... How much jewelry is too much?

sillyone@altavista.com (Silly One) wrote in message news:<f701c2eb.0401051438.2196dc57@posting.google.com>... I both buy and make lots of jewelry sets, actually, where the earrings match the necklace. But I also have a lot of earrings that either look good alone or coordinate well with other things (say, good and silver and small, understated rhinestone hoops). I even have some accidental matches - a student gave me a pair of earrings that coordinate well with a ribbon choker I have. I...

Mystic Tan

carolcorb@aol.combyespam (Carol) wrote in message news:<20040105084647.23043.00001443@mb-m27.aol.com>... Yeh, a friend told me about that episode last night and we got a laugh out of it. Anyway, I got the mystictan. My strategy was to not wear the shower cap and bend deep at the knees (I'm 6'2) so that the mist gets to my scalp. It looks even, I'm not orange, and the color is actually pretty decent after all. So I'll probably be a repeat customer.

AF Regrets/No Regrets
Posted on 01-06-2004 | 1 Comments

Regrets Impulse lipstick buys that didn't work for me, eg. Clinique Bamboo Pink. Y'know, this looked great on me at the mall, but after I got home and saw it in different lighting, it didn't look so hot. It's just not the right color for me. Plus I like more pigment. I should have gotten the Laura Mercier Amethyst that Mme_Remy suggested, darn it. After my moratorium <sob> is over, that'll be my very next purchase.

Ficcare query

has anyone seen or used the Ficcare Ficcaritos? I just saw them on the Henrysbrownboxes web-site ... http://www.henrysbrownboxes.com/default.asp it says they are - These cute clips are an elegant option to smoothing back a wayward bit of hair, or to pull back a small section. Sensitive skin sunscreen w/o fragrance or whitish cast?
Posted on 07-13-2003 | 1 Comments

I'm desperately searching for a new sunscreen for my face. Misses: June Jacobs is far too drying, even with a moisturizer underneath. My skin is pale, but it still left a white cast. DDF Organic also leaves a noticable white cast on me. I tried two versions of Pola, and I think I'm allergic to the fragrance. Clinique Super City Sunblock seems to emphasize any dry patches on my skin. My skin is very temperamental. It is oily in spots, but also tends toward flakiness. It's sensitive to...

Good little OPI lemming
Posted on 07-13-2003 | 8 Comments

I've been a good little OPI lemming. I spotted a display in Boots this week holding several shelves of clearance reduced (half-price down to four pounds) OPI nail polishes. Having never tried them, and heard so much here, how could I resist? The display wasn't organised, so I just picked up bottles and looked for the name... couldn't find I'm Not Really A Waitress, sadly, but I did get: Wanted... Red or Alive Jewel of India SoHo Nice to Meet You.

Want greasy looking hair
Posted on 07-13-2003 | 8 Comments

I'm a white dude with shoulder length, light brown hair. I've been trying many styling products but haven't found the right one. Without anything my hair is puffy and frizzy. I know this is gross, but it seems like my hair does better after I haven't washed it after a few days. But I don't like going too many days without washing it. Is there a product that simulates natural hair oil, but with a nice scent? I've tried gells, they dry and leave my hair crunchy. I've tried paste but I don't like...

I finally used up a tube/squeezy bottle of sandalwood perfumed cream with aloe extract from L'erbolario. Next aim is to finish off the other bottles of body lotion which I have! Anne

CLARKE`S SHOES
Posted on 07-13-2003 | 3 Comments

If you are thinking of buying shoes in the near future I would not go to a Clarke`s shop if I was you. What a farce, I went into a Clarke`s shop in Salisbury (England) and asked the assistant to measure my feet as I had recently bought a pair of shoes at another shop that rubbed the heel and this time wanted to play safe. The assistant measured my feet and told me I was a size 8. I was a bit surprised as I know I am a least a size 10 !

S. sd. abt. artfcl. fbrs.: Somewhere in Dinosaur heaven, a Triceratops is looking at a Brontosaur pal and saying "For THIS we became extinct?" I have it on good authority one oughtn't combine those two sorts of services, as Windex may be involved at highly inopportune moments. That's what I heard, anyway.

Re: This is off-topic, but a few of us in here have lost loved ones

My dad just passed away on Memorial Day. I've been trying hard not to bring this up in here. I don't know why. Anyway, I swear this is true- When I was driving out to my mom's place I got lost. I came from the secondary airport that I had only flown into once or twice. At any rate, I heard his voice say, "You want to turn right here." On a trusting whim, I did and it put me right back on track. I just felt like he was there through the whole trip. Everyone was consoling my mom and brother but...

Coming out of the wardrobe closet..I wear synthetic fabrics

This is an addendum to the post criticizing Anthropologie clothes because they contain unnatural fibers and are made all over the world. With due respect to cotton man Userb, Joe, and other natural fiber advocates, I will admit that my family and I wear synthetic fibers. The pink Oscar sweater, a bridge line for Oscar de la Renta, is 65% rayon and 15% nylon made in Macau. My navy Tahari suit with white pin dots is 66% polyester and 12% rayon made in

Glad to revive the memories, stellaglo. The housecoats must have a button or snap front as well as big pockets to hold her kleenex. She is confined to a wheelchair so it makes it so much easier to get her dressed when she has garments that are easy to put on. Bobbie Brooks was a department store brand from my youth too as was White Stag. They do end up at Walmart, and it's good news for the Walmart shoppers
