I clearly remember Units. There was a Units store at Tower City in Cleveland. Very small space with little cubby holes where each color and size was displayed. There was a variety of such concepts at that time but I don't recall purchasing any of them. At the same time or shortly after Express came out with the same idea and I did purchase some of their pieces - some of which I probably still have in my closet waiting to be cleared out. The Fashion Outlet Las Vegas mall is actually about 30+ miles south of Las Vegas proper, right at the California state line. Belz Mall (my fave) is just south of the airport on the Strip. There's a new one, Premium Outlets, opening up next month, just south and west of downtown. This one I gotta see next trip! There's also Fashion Show Mall on the main Strip between Frontier and Treasure Island, and a fairly nice mall by the Aladdin, but it seems
- perming over thermally reconditioned hair?
- Posted on 07-07-2003 | 2 Comments
Hi everyone. I recently got my hair thermally reconditioned, and I'm not very pleased with the results. I got it done with a lady who has been doing this for almost 4 years, and is very experienced. My hair is really fine, and it is virgin hair. And it wasn't even that wavy in the first place, so I thought it would turn out great -- but my hair did not turn out totally straight. I did all the stuff you're supposed to afterwards -- I didn't wash it or put it behind my ears, etc. But it has...

Last night I had pasta salad with crabmeat, fat-free dressing, onions, peas and carrots. The beverage of the evening was tea sweetened with stevia. (I'm giving diet sodas the old 'heave ho"!) My meal was simple, but delicious. I had a small portion (carb/calorie control) ....hmmm....I think tonight's meal will be a tossed salad with seasoned chicken. J5

And since the base color wasn't way off from my natural color and my highlights aren't shocking, my hair is growing out nicely. Yes, you can see the roots if you ogle but they are not immediately

Hey all; As usual, I'm up at 1:00AM watching the Style channel. There is an infomercial on about Alexis Vogel makeup (www.alexisvogel.com), that is supposed to be high quality makeup with instructional videos to make you look like a million bucks. I'm just curious if anyone has purchased this stuff, and if it actually works. Sher.

I think Units was a free standing store and Multiples was a display in regular department stores, but basically the same idea.

So right on Susan - same here in Akron. When I took a peek I was amazed at the stock - all colors/all sizes and I have yet to see anyone wearing them. I was all set to purchase but somehow I just didn't find them all that appealing. My guess is they didn't make a big hit in Ohio and we will probably see them on the sale rack.
