Tanning question
Posted on 07-08-2003 | 1 Comments

I have pale skin and am planning to get a gradual tan this summer. When I say gradual I mean a half hour or less outside on a daily basis. I can go out this long without getting burned so I was just wondering whether or not I should even bother wearing an SPF sunscreen? Or should I just stick with a tanning oil?

I mostly wear cream shadows these days but my recollection is that Stila's are the powder shadows with the "richest" feel to them. How do the Paint shadows compare to the best of Stila? EMiriamD "No fashion is ever a success unless it is used as a form of seduction." -- Christian Dior

I don't often post but I just had to comment on this product. I received it in the mail over the weekend and am extremely pleased. It provides that kiss of the sun I have been looking for without that "baked tan" look. Plus, the smell is heavenly. It is definitely a keeper. This was my first order with WTF and I am a happy camper. The service is excellent and delivery is super quick. Just what every AF gal needs...almost instant gratification once an order is placed. Thanks Fig!

OT? Anyone buy/use ultrasonic jewelry cleaners?

This is somewhat related to the fashion scene... Does anyone have an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner? If so, how well does it work and is it worth the cost? Any info or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks! Lindy

I worked at a women's only gym, and a few of our over-50 'southern belles' came in like that. They were just like that anywhere, because that's how they were brought up. They don't go out without looking *perfect*, period. I'm sure they also wrote thank-you notes for every little thing too, LOL!

Hello All, I would like some advice on fitness fashion as I just got a job at a gym and need to get some new work clothes. It will be fun not to have to wear office clothes to work! I also would like some advice on good cross trainers - I am a fit person but more from yoga and dance than spending time at the gym so your help will be much appreciated. Any makeup rec's would be welcome too! Thanks!

Shopping near OBX?
Posted on 07-08-2003 | 1 Comments

We're vacationing at OBX with DH's family again this year. For some reason we keep going during the rainy season in August. Last year it rained 5 out of the 7 days we were there. So this year I'm trying to plan for activities for rainy days. Shopping is the first thing that comes to mind. We're willing to drive up to 2 hours to have something to do. Does anyone know of any good outlets or antique villages near OBX? Thanks in advance, Nina

Hot and humid here. Blah. For going to the library: Cotton khaki shorts. I like these so much because they don't have pockets on the sides that make me look hippier than I already am. Silk tank. Background a warm teal, with a print of khaki colored paisley. Tan leather sandals I got in Puerto Vallarta a few years ago. Huaracha-type. Tan leather tote, nice and big so I can stick my library books into it.

Also, on one of her eyes the liner was drawn a tad thicker, and the difference became amplified over time. Years later...
