- KA Sensual Skin Enhancer
- Posted by Sarah Kottke
Anyone have thoughts on this product? Overall it seems like quite a
few people have been very pleased. I am a NC15/NC20, any ideas on a
good match for me? I am also curious about the lipstick offered on
the KA website. Has anyone made purchases that they were quite
pleased with?
Thanks.

I think the lip glosses are terrific. (haven't bought one yet) I would
recommend calling PIR Beauty on Prince and Eliz. st. in NYC and ask them to
help match you on the SSE . It's definitely worth the time and trouble. And
they are very nice there too

I am a MAC NC20, and I got the SSE in SX 02. IIRC this shade is light and
for slightly pink undertones. According to the web site, SX 01 is true
ivory, SX 03 is light and is for beige undertones, and SX 04 is light and
is for yellow undertones, so one of these may work for you, just choose
the one that'll work for your undertones.
I think I could be happy with one of the SSE's, but I'm not 100% happy at
the moment. I think it's a combination of user error (I haven't figured
out the best way to apply it yet) as well as this shade being a touch too
light for me (it's that or I'm so used to so many variations in color on
my face that it's unusual for me to see it all one shade). I'd like to
try the next shade up, but so many are out of stock I can't figure out
which to try.
Other than that, it does provide unbelievable coverage, and although it
comes in a tiny jar it'll last a long time since you need so very little.
It's a little tricky to apply but you can probably get the hang of it with
a little work & googling past af posts for application tips.

it sounds like you and i have similar coloring. i wear MAC NC15/20,
the NC30 undereye concealer i use is a smidgen too dark.
when e6 offered free samples, i asked them for the 2 lightest yellow
based shades they had, and they sent me SX04 and SX08. they both work
fine for me. the SX04 is a touch too light and the SX08 is a touch
too dark. 8 would work if i had a bit of a tan or was doing a full face
of makeup, esp. including bronzer; 4 is good for winter or just a light
application of powder foundation.
