Dana C. on Wayne Brady

Did everyone see our lovely Dana Carpender on Wayne Brady today?
Lookin' good! Loved your comment about "and I'm still alive, thank
you very much". LOL! I just adore Wayne Brady, I'd have been all
flustered.

You beat me to the post. I just opened news groups to say that I had seen
Dana on Wayne Brady. You looked great and so confident! DH kept saying
"Are you sure that is someone one the group, not just the same name?"

Bet it was fun!

I thought he was a comedian. Maybe he has a talk show now? I could be wrong,
though.

He is a comedian; he was the funniest guy on Whose Line Is It Anyway for
quite a while. He can sing, too, and for my money, he's damned good
looking, too. He's had a talk show for a while, for which I believe
he's won an Emmy or two.

Anyway, he's just as nice as he seems (and that leather jacket he was
wearing must have cost a cool grand, minimum; it felt like butter!)
Also truly lovely was Hal Sparks; just friendly and funny and smart (and
way-cute, too, of course.)

It was a good experience all the way around. Oh, and for the third time
a TV makeup artist at a big network has told me my makeup looked great,
and didn't need much tweaking. Thank you, Diane!!

Yep. Taped Tuesday, was aired yesterday. Also on were Marilu Henner,
Hal Sparks, and Nicole Ritchie.

Also had a meeting with the Style Network yesterday. You guys would
have been floored; talk about fashionistas! I found myself wondering
where they found all those smart, competent women who also just happen
to look like super-models. I definitely felt old and a bit shabby
around them, but they were very nice.

That's great. If you find out that the show will be repeated in the future,
let us know.

x-no-archive: yes

Were you the "how to crush a garlic clove and not wield a sharp knife
dangerously" teacher? I noticed the long leather jacket sleeve coming
precariously close to being diced! I don't think I could have been so
close to him without, uhm, losing all self-control or breaking in to
song, at the very least! Brava!

He's an extremely attractive and charming man, no question, and even
more so up close and personal. Of course, we're both married, and we had
an audience. ;-D

Not to mention the fact that he's young, very handsome, and a big star,
and therefore could probably have his pick of a whole lot of gorgeous
women, while I, despite my modest success, am still a 45 year old
housewife from Indiana.

Still, it was a kick.

Should I have sung my cooking instructions?

Maybe Dana could write another book... called "Self-Serve Gasoline for
Dummies." (Not for sale in Oregon or New Jersey.) <grin/duck>

Saw Nicole Ritchie in the green room, though we didn't speak. Marilu
Henner did tell me she believed in carbs. I found it funny that she
said that no one had ever seen a fat giraffe -- or a fat elephant.
Seemed an odd choice of example to me. :-D She looks wonderful though,
and I can't argue with success.

Hal Sparks is as nice a fella as I ever hope to meet.

I'm so sorry I missed seeing you on the show. And now I read *somewhere* that
his show has been cancelled. Too bad.
