Does the Cover Girl TrueBlend contain a sunscreen? If so, what is the name of
it. Thanks ;-).

I like the TruBlend too, although it looks all slippery and weird until it's
powdered over, for me. However, it's one of those foundations that works
beautifully with a good loose powder because it sets perfectly, instead of
looking dry or crumbly or cakey. Very soft yet nicely polished looking.
The new Max Factor "color adjusting" foundation is identical to the
CoverGirl. The Loreal doesn't work as well for me, leaves kind of a gritty
finish that looks like I put it on about 18 hours earlier.
I'm not crazy about the new Almay foundation either, the new one with
salicylic acid-it just seemed identical to the Clean Finish one, maybe not
even as nice.
I just ordered a slew of foundations: Biotherm's Matte Liquid and the new
Oily Skin Cream compact foundation, and the new Body and Soul stick. I'm
trying desperately to find a new everyday foundation since I'm on my last
bottle of Aube Liquid Foundation (from the Japanese company, Sofina), which
was my Holy Grail.

Sigh, me too! I went to Rite Aid today to lemming it and it wasn't (yet?)
available, so I'm planning an extensive lemming run tomorrow to find it.

Made a special stop at CVS tonight and waddya know? There they were! So, since
I have no way of knowing which will work better, I got both the CG and the
L'Oreal. I'm already thinking the CG will be easier to work with since it's in
a pump bottle and I really do prefer those to pour-it-out liquids like the
L'Oreal.
Tomorrow morning will be Experiment #1, the CG...

Wow, this stuff sounds great!!! I too looked at the L'Oreal stuff at Target
and it was all to dark! I saw the CoverGirl but like you have never been
fond of their products. I really don't like the Noxzema smell that their
foundations have ( or used to have). I have skin that is a lot like yours.
If this stuff covered the redness then I must try it! I hope it wears well!
Thanks for the great review!

I'm also looking for a new foundation as my longtime HG is just too
pricey for me at this point. I bought the L'oreal C2 yesterday and
tried it out immediately since the color seemed to be a good match
for me. It seemed to make my fine lines and pores look bigger. And
after about 15 minutes it started to make my eyes sting. YMMV, of
course but this is how it went for me. It's already in the swap pile.
Vicki in DC, normal to dry, mac N4 or NW20 (and this indeed is what I
ended up with, the tinted liquid in NW20. I think this will nicely
replace my Sisley tint)

I bought this yesterday based on your rec (and as a consolation prize for not
being able to find the new L'Oreal crappe in my shade) and I have to say I agree
with your assessment above! I honestly don't think I've used anything like this
before - the texture is incredible! I applied it with a foundation brush and it
went on like a dream and blended very well.
The finish on me was semi-matte leaning towards totally matte. The coverage on
me was medium (not as sheer as Maybelline Wonder Finish, for example) but it
didn't look or feel at all masky. I've had it on for about 10 hours now and it's
wearing *very* well. It hasn't pooled up in my large pores/scars, nor has it
settled into my fine lines at all. In fact, it really seems to have fuzzed out a
lot of my imperfections (though granted, my skin is in really good shape right
now so thankfully there's not as much to fuzz out!). I've only had to blot once
today. If this stuff doesn't break me out, it'll be a winner!
My only beef with it is that, as with most/all CG foundations, the lightest
shade (Ivory) is just a smidge too dark for my winter-pale skin, and a smidge
too neutral (I'm warm toned). But it's close enough for a drugstore foundation,
especially one of this quality!

Same experience here! I was totally awestruck by how beautifully the CG
applies and blends! For the record, I used my fingers--I'm so totally no
longer in the mood for tools if I can possibly avoid them--and got a
faaaaaabulous application and finish! Great, great, great, great stuff!
I'm returning the L'Oreal, both because it hasn't gotten any good reviews here
and also because I have no patience for applying liquids, which require either
a sponge or brush.
Way to go, Cover Girl!

I've used this two days now, and am also very pleased with it.
I must say, however, that I had trouble getting used to the texture
when I applied it with my fingers----I felt like I was putting flour
on my face!

Do any of you CG TruBlend lovers have dry skin?
cofarb, who should just put her hands over her eyes, fingers in ears and say
"la la la...I can't *hear/see* you!"
- Posted by EMiriamD
Nope, I'm an Oily Girl. But this stuff seems worth a shot, cofarb--the texture
feels like it might adjust itself to almost any skin type. And if you get it
at CVS, keep your receipt--if you don't like it, they'll happily give you a
refund.

I got both the L'oreal and the CG - cofarb, I'm not 'totally' dry, but
I am old, and very dry under the eyes on on the cheeks - I used the
TruBlend yesterday for the first time, and I was VERY pleased. You
need to try this.
