- Pant... pant.... Stila price drop!
- Posted on 01-11-2004 | 1 Comments
I stole this information from a post at MUA. I was so thrilled to hear this news, I had to share it here, too, for anyone who hadn't heard yet. The post only offers a sampling of the price changes. This might get me into liking Stila again, at the very least I'll look at the old shadow singles (The price won't change, but 6 and 8 pan prices will be lowered), convertible colors and possibly get the concealer now. New items are too gimmicky, but Stila has always made nice shadows. The recent...
- Fashion Scrapbooking
- Posted on 01-11-2004 | 2 Comments
Has anyone out there created a fashion-specific scrapbook? For years I have cut inspiring photos and fashion and makeup tips (or just "iconic" content that really evokes the era) out of magazines and left them in a pile where once every few months I remember to look at them again. At the dawn of this new year, I suddenly realized I could get organized by putting them in a scrapbook. I've already bought a blank scrapbook and a pair of handy dandy nonstick scissors, but haven't decided how to...

- Help! New hair color, so new hair care products?
- Posted on 01-10-2004 | 9 Comments
Hello A.F.ers. I've recently moved 431 miles away from my hair technician. I've arranged for a (much needed) cut & color with a new salon group. However, when I made my appointment, the receptionist told me that "If you don't buy our Bumble & Bumble or Kerastase products, we will not guarantee the color." Is this standard? I'm aware of these products' reputation, and I'd love to give them a go, but they're a bit out of my price range. In your estimable opinion, was the receptionist just giving...

I've been giving a gift certificate for bliss and after receiving the catalog, I'm all set to order one of everything. I could use some help narrowing down my wish list. What are your favorite bliss products? I've been thinking of the glamour gloves for starters, but I'd love to hear what your experiences are. Thanks for your help! A-L

Hi Jennifer - Just wanted to let you know that I've never heard from my Santa Julie B in response to this post/email. Perhaps she's traveling or otherwise busy. Or, if she did reply, she was spam-filtered in some manner and I never saw it. It's no biggie but I hope she knows I'm grateful for her gift. Hope you and yours are well. -steph Stephanie K. wrote:

- Really cute 60s style sweater
- Posted on 01-10-2004 | 4 Comments
I love this sweater, makes me think of 60s movies: http://tinyurl.com/yrpmt It's an unusually fitted style for Eddie Bauer - I bought one for me and one for my husband (the Tall women's sizes work well for men, I find). He did notice that the closure was on the female side, but thought it was funky for us both to wear the same sweater. That's why I love him!!
