from a close reading of the article (I quote, "particularly fiber-rich
cereals"). Atkins, of course, suggests adding fibre to your food if
you're on his diet.
What might it do? Slow down the absorption of glucose, I imagine. If so,
that is almost an admission that we perhaps shouldn't be eating too much
of the glucose-rich carbs in the first place... but no doubt many will
disagree with that view!
