yes, you need to use the same brand strips for it.
You don't need to change the lancet every test if you are the only one
using. Some people don't feel safe not changing the lancet every time, but
most of us don't.
I feel that it is fairly accurate, but you need to read up on alternate site
testing, which is not as accurate as finger testing. If you need any tips
on finger testing, just ask. It can be painless.

it's presently the best meter on the market
and www.hocks.com is excellent
and i've yet to find a better price
for FreeStyle strips (i pay out of pocket)

actually, the ReliOn was ok 2 years ago, but no longer,
as hocks.com has both the FreeStyle strips and the
Accu-Check Active strips at roughly the same price as
the ReliOn strips and both the FreeStyle (my choice)
and Active are *much* easier to use
