Hi Loretta.
These are indeed exciting times.......our motto:
Never a dull moment!!
During the early summer (harvest), I told one of the local cops that we were
selling weeds......he didn't hear the "s" on the end, and had quite the
entertaining look on his face. Then, just for fun, I "comp'd" him a blue
speckled metal coffee cup full of dandelions. He got the picture, and wore
a big grin out of the local coffee shop.
Hmmm.....New York......do they like to barter up there??
We have literally traded our way into having the cash flow to get a GMC
Jimmy Blazer (the little one), and to pay rent for the first 3 months on the
retail location.
Email me privately, and I will get a catalog to you.
BTW: I have spent the past two weeks learning all things carpet.....from
choosing the most appropriate material and nap for the traffic flow, to
installation......there isn't a thing I can do in the shop until the
landlord finishes some necessary repairs.
The guy that does all my floor work for the service end of the business
(rental make-ready) needed help...........I am a pad crew queen! Tee Hee!!
There is a lot more to installing carpet than I ever imagined. We did two
different jobs with stairs last week........talk about an aerobic work out!
I will be working with him next week as well.......learning to use the power
stretcher is next on my list. I have mastered "burning in seams" and
trimming the carpet to slide under the base boards............
I can't wait to get in to the shop and play around with installing the
carpet there!! There is just not much that is more satisfying than to be
able to say, "Me did it myself."
